What you'll do in this role: * Perform a safety check of the equipment to ensure it is safe to operate. * Performs daily assignments as directed by team Group Leader or Supervisor * Actively maintain good housekeeping standards in their assigned area * Safely operate a forklift to transport materials. * Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times. * Ability to learn multiple pieces of automated equipment and flexibility to move to different work stations daily. * Effectively communicate and relay information to peers and/or supervisors concerning the performance of the production line as it pertains to the assembly, operation and performance of the line. * Perform various manufacturing inspection protocols to ensure plant quality standards on granular packaging products and display units. * Adhere to plant safety rules and programs as it pertains to self and all other associates. What you'll need to be successful: * Position entails prolonged and repetitive motion of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead and arms/hands dexterity * Ability to drive a forklift * Ability to climb on and off of required equipment * Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs and meet man-lift requirements * Ability to communicate effectively * Ability to read and write English and/or be able to follow instructions * Must pass the minimum fit for duty physical (annually) * Willingness to work mandatory overtime including weekends and holidays. * Able to work in a dusty hot/cold/humid environment, * Able to lift 50 pounds, and be on their feet for 8-12 hours a day. * High School diploma or equivalent. * A minimum of one plus years of production plant experience is preferred. * Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, ability to make decisions regarding equipment adjustments to meet product specifications and quality conformity. * Must be a team player and promote teamwork amongst production lines, departments and shifts.
