Hours: Mon -Fri, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Summary of Duties:
Create, interpret, review, and maintain Technical Documentation for supported products and services, including schematic diagrams, diagrams, and specification sheets for MPD staff and management. Create/modify processes to generate more efficiency and clarity to the MPD Group as a whole and recommend corrective or preventive actions to assure or improve product quality or reliability, and assist to monitor processes for compliance with MPD Industry standards. Work with the Global MPD team and Engineering to assess MPD products and process effectiveness and to identify opportunities for improvements in quality, cost, or efficiency of automation equipment. Work with Global Service Delivery and Global Product Line to compile and evaluate performance data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products across the global performance of MPD. Create/modify processes to generate more Efficiency and clarity to the MPD Group as a whole, and assist to monitor processes for compliance with MPD Industry standards. Work with Engineering to identify Engineering docs that needs to be accessed by Field and Repair & Maintenance personnel and migrate them to OEPS to be available for all. Perform software testing in conjunction with MPD Engineering team, as required. Support Training & Competency team with the MPD Training documents and with the Competency to be better evaluated and provide advice or training to MPD personnel.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or related field of study AND Two (2) Years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree Engineering, Science or related field of study AND Two (2) Years, the employer will accept 2 additional years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation. In addition, the applicant must have demonstrative experience with:
Technical/Engineering Drawings Technical Sales or Capital Sales software programs Rotating Control Heads design and operation Customer Service Operation process, design and documentation with experience in MPD Command Office suite software and enterprise applications Service Delivery and Quality Control Analysis (Process Compliance and Performance)

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
• 4-year Bachelor of Science in Engineering or 2-year degree/diploma in a technical discipline
• 5-9 years' experience with bachelor degree or 6-10 years' experience with 2-year degree
• Experience on distributed controls systems or PLC design for projects.
• Familiar with industry standards and processes
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and direct teams
• Must convey a professional image with and build relationships with customers.
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
• Must be comfortable in work at plant sites
• Must be willing to travel to end user locations and up to 15-25% of the year.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience with configuration or operation of DeltaV Controls Systems
• Experience leading medium to large sized project teams
• Familiar with ISA S88 Batch Configuration Standards

We are seeking a motivated student to hire for our Control Systems Engineering Co-Op opportunity. You will be responsible for assisting our Bedford Park, IL engineers with controlling production processes using modern computerized process control systems and instrumentation. You will also be applying concepts learned in engineering and engineering-related classes to applications in the field.
As the Controls Engineering Co-Op, your responsibilities will include:
Being responsible for personal safety as well as the safety of any contractors working on projects with a goal of completing projects with zero safety or environmental incidents Becoming familiar with a production channel and the control systems employed on the channel, utilizing Allen-Bradley PLCs, DeltaV, Foxboro, and/or Provox Control SystemsBecoming familiar with process measurement and control devices, such as control valves and process transmitters Working with assigned project team and learning how to implement programming changes and tie in new field devices to the control system Utilizing alarm monitoring systems to analyze alarm frequencies, recommending improvements to alarm handling and implementing approved alarm changes Determining instrumentation installation requirements, control system software configuration requirements and working with team to see through the complete installation and configuration

Progress towards a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 preferred Ability to work 40hrs per week during the term (January - August 2023) Skills and a demonstrated interest in computers and programming, with knowledge in one or more of the following preferred: VBA, SQL scripting, VMware/HyperV, Computer Networking, or AD Domain AdministrationAbility to self-teach from manuals and documentation Ability to tackle problems, identify improvement opportunities, implement action plans and follow-up to ensure results Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information and prepare concisely written reports Proven analytical problem solving, multi-tasking, and time management skills Experience with PC Applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPointReliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day
