Job Purpose or Summary: A Control Systems Engineer is responsible for designing and analyzing control systems, verifying, and implementing code, fixing malfunctions, explaining, and providing information, and analyzing and researching designs. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Design and Functional Design Specification, PLC code, and sequencer pinning documentation based on process design. Design I/O Checkout list. Design equipment specification and cost analysis. Design electrical schematics and controls equipment. Develop equipment and labor cost estimation. Design of control system network architecture. Lead Functional Design Specification meetings and Factory Acceptance Test simulations. Lead commissioning and training activities. Aid in continuous improvements of new and existing Control standards to be utilized by all members. Preferred Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. EIT, PE, CCE, ISA, and Ignition Core/Gold certified. Experience/Training: 3-6 years of experience in a related field. Professional Skills Proficiency with PC and Windows Operating system, Microsoft Office Suite Ability to identify, create, plan, and track tasks required to provide a completed Control System Design based on P&ID's and layouts.
