Experience with >32Gbps transceiver or clocking design is highly desired. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience with analog or mixed‑signal integrated circuit design in nanometer planar CMOS or FinFET and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, or related work experience. OR PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field. 2+ years of experience using one or more design tools (e.g., CADENCE, SPICE, MATLAB, and/or Verilog/VHDL). Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Uses appropriate tools or databases to contribute to architecture and circuit designs for one or more blocks; participates in design reviews. Works with layout teams to oversee block‑level layout of one or more blocks. Defines and runs own simulations and analyses (e.g., power, performance) on designs; documents and utilizes results to improve and verify designs. Programs and runs tests to identify bugs in own work and helps more junior team members with the same; debugs most issues and escalates highly complex issues. Consults with internal or external users as directed to assist with implementation and achieve goal alignment. Maintains understanding of one's technical domain and builds understanding of other domains to ensure integration with different components. Writes detailed technical documentation and design descriptions to guide users and/or customers. Collaborates with team members to generate ideas. Taking responsibility for own work and making decisions with limited impact; impact of decisions is readily apparent; errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).     Job Description JOB FUNCTION: 1. The Electrical Systems Engineer is responsible for all electrical aspects of an assigned project. 2. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and communicate team priorities. 3. May be asked to assist with the training and development of team members. 4. Knowledgeable with all aspects of MPW equipment and able to create high-level design concepts based on sales level information. Interact with internal and external customers at all levels. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Safety 1. Follow all safety rules, regulations and ensure all personnel abide by safety guidelines. Design 2. Will lead and manage projects using industry best practices for, but not limited to: 3. Electrical Power Distribution Systems (480VAC 3Ph to Low Voltage Control Power) 4. Control System Architecture including Safety, Instrumentation, PLC, and network design. 5. Control Panel Component Selection and Layout 6. Panel and System Fabrication Shop Support 7. Validate teams engineering design deliverables against MPW and Industry best practices. Programming 8. Competent in PLC and HMI programming following MPW's standard programming practices, considering safety at all levels in the program. 9. Program new systems based on developed Control Narratives and P&IDs. 10. Ability to validate programs from others against MPW and Industry best practices. Testing and Quality Control 11. Will develop and maintain MPW testing procedures and quality control standards for complex equipment. 12. Will assist with team oversight to ensure procedures are followed to ensure proper system functionality and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. 13. Test equipment following developed schedules and plans, communicate testing status to all levels within MPW. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. This position handles workforce, equipment, and customer relations in multiple, geographically dispersed locations. 2. Due to the nature of the business as a 24/7 service company, non-traditional availability may be required as a regular part of the job. 3. Travel to field services sites, and customer sites as needed. Up to 60 nights travel required. 4. This position is a member of the MPW Management Team and called upon to facilitate the performance of all of members of MPW. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering with 1-year minimum in engineering related field 2. Associate degree with 3-years minimum technical experience dealing directly with power distribution, control system design and programming, control system networking. 3. Practical knowledge in Power and Controls design. Experience with Allen Bradley control systems preferred. Factory Talk experience preferred. 4. Practical knowledge of Ethernet I/P Networking 5. Experience with AutoCAD drafting preferred. 6. Familiarity with NEC electrical codes and compliance.
