Day-to-Day:
We're seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join our growing in-house engineering and design team. This role will focus on routing cable raceways and circuits, modeling equipment, and supporting the development of departmental design standards and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes, 3D modeling, and design coordination. You'll collaborate closely with project and construction teams to deliver high-quality, accurate design packages. Flexibility and strong organizational skills are key as you manage multiple projects and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Lead electrical design efforts for assigned projects, including client meetings and management of scope, budget, and schedule.
Design electrical raceway systems (duct banks, trays, conduit) and model 3D equipment for power plant systems.
Route cables through raceways in compliance with codes and fill requirements, coordinating closely with engineering.
Develop design drawings, layouts, and calculations for project execution.
Perform quality checks in 3D models to identify interferences and improve constructability.
Address and resolve review comments on drawings.
Update as-built drawings using RFIs, ECNs, and construction markups to create final “Conformed to Construction” records.
Must Haves:
8+ years of electrical design experience in a related field (Power Generation or Fossil Fuels)
5-6 years of industry-specific experience.
Proficiency in both 2D and 3D design applications for preparing engineering drawings (3D proficiency required).
Strong working knowledge of circuit routing and raceway design using 3D modeling tools.
Plusses:
SOFTWARES: AutoCAD, SCADA Systems PanelDES or ElecDES, E3D, Plant 3D, Smartplant 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel to develop the design deliverables.
Aconex Document Controls software knowledge

Qualifications
