    The controls engineer will be responsible for upgrading, programming and the electrical design of new manufacturing equipment and integrating it into work cells. This will include investigating new design and implementing that into the original equipment and working with the engineering manager on what needs replaced or upgraded. The controls engineer will responsible for programming PLCs which include Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron and Siemens from scratch along with programming their robots which are mostly Epson but there are some Fanuc, Mitsubishi, ABB and Kuka as well. Another critical component of the role will be integrating vision systems (Teledyne, Keyence, Cognex) intro their robotic industrial cells. Day to day this person will be doing a mix of project based work and supporting the maintenance technicians with any troubleshooting of electrical controls. The controls engineer will work closely with the engineering team to identify potential applications that will improve or replace outdated control systems/equipment. This position is M-F 7:30-4:30pm but can be flexible on start and end time, average of 40-45 hours a week unless a launch is happening then will be more like 50 hours a week.
