You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...
Possess a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other degree relevant to the duties as described above
Have at least 3 years of experience writing assembly language, C, or C++ code that runs directly on embedded systems or integrates with real-time operating systems (RTOSes)
Have experience with protocol reverse engineering and complex communication systems
Have extensive experience with digital signal processing algorithms and are capable of (and excited by!) hypothesizing, prototyping, and extracting data from waveforms
Are an outstanding communicator in both written and verbal forms
Are able to acquire a Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately acquire a TS/SCI level clearance. The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL's good faith belief at the time of posting. Amentum is seeking an Electrical Control Technician for multiple OCONUS locations contingent upon award. The Electrical Control Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical control systems within a facility. This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall operation of building management systems. The position requires collaboration with other technicians and departments to support seamless operations and address any technical challenges that arise.
**Essential Responsibilities**
+ Perform regular maintenance on pneumatic and electronic controls to ensure optimal performance.
+ Troubleshoot and repair any issues with AC/DC electronic systems, solid-state electronics, and DDC controls.
+ Operate and maintain Honeywell, Powers, and Carrier Building Management Systems or similar systems.
+ Collaborate with other technicians and departments to resolve complex technical issues.
+ Document all maintenance and repair activities thoroughly and accurately.
+ Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
+ Be available for rotational shift work, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required**
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent, with technical or trade school graduation or equivalent apprenticeship in mechanical trades.
+ Thorough working knowledge of AC/DC electronic theory, solid-state electronics, DDC controls, and computer operations.
+ Familiarity with Honeywell, Powers, and Carrier Building Management Systems or similar systems.
+ At least five years of experience in maintenance and repair of pneumatic and electronic controls.
+ Ability to work effectively in both independent and team settings.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Willingness to work varied shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
+ Must possess a SECRET security clearance at the start of the contract and be able to obtain the appropriate clearance within eight months.
