This role ensures production processes run efficiently, safely, and at the highest quality, while driving continuous improvement through system upgrades, optimization, and integration of Industry 4.0 technologies. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation, manufacturing controls, or related field (10+ years preferred). Technical Skills Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, or similar). Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, IO-Link, etc.). Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent). Hands-on experience with robotics, vision systems, sensors, drives, motion control, and pneumatic systems. Familiarity with SQL-based plant floor data gathering systems, MES, and Industry 4.0/Smart Manufacturing principles. Experience with plant-wide SCADA systems (Ignition, FactoryTalk, etc.) Experience with IT/OT networking and high-level languages (Visual Basic, C#, or similar). This role supports major ongoing automation projects including autonomous cable loading into pans and tanks, automated gantry-to-pan connection systems, intelligent pan stacking logistics, and real-time defect detection during shipload operations. You will work closely with mechanical, quality, and manufacturing engineering to ensure automation initiatives are production-ready, safe, reliable, and cost-effective.
