About the Role
A Global Real Estate and Engineering firm is seeking a skilled Construction QA/QC and Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support mission-critical and data center projects. The role involves overseeing electrical quality assurance, system commissioning, and field testing across all project phases. Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute QA/QC and electrical commissioning programs in alignment with ASHRAE guidelines.
Conduct system inspections, testing, and verification for electrical systems, including UPS, switchgear, generators, and EPMS.
Develop and implement commissioning plans, checklists, and test scripts (functional and integrated systems tests).
Perform design reviews, submittal reviews, and field inspections for conformance with specifications.
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and AHJs throughout project delivery.
Develop and maintain commissioning documentation, SOPs, MOPs, and Systems Manuals.
Utilize QA/QC and commissioning software such as BIM360, CxAlloy, and Facility Grid.
Perform electrical testing and analyze results using tools such as PQMs, thermography, and ground testing equipment.
Support the planning, scheduling, and reporting of commissioning progress and performance.
Provide vendor training evaluation and system performance verification.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field (ABET-accredited preferred).
Minimum 10 years of relevant electrical engineering or field-testing experience, including 5 years in commissioning or QA/QC.
Commissioning Professional certification preferred.
PE or PMP designation is an asset.
Proven expertise in testing and commissioning electrical power systems (UPS, ATS, STS, generators, PDUs, etc.).
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in MS Project, Word, and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to consolidate and report project performance data.

How will you contribute to the team?
* Work within a multi-discipline team to develop efficient and reliable electrical design packages for medium and high voltage substations.

* Maintain complete project documentation with respect to engineering studies and calculations, all design packages, as-built requirements and return data information.

What will you contribute?
* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in P&C electrical design for Senior Position.
* A Professional Engineer (PE) registration (or eligible for registration).
* Experience with IEC61850/Goose Messaging.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD.
* Knowledge of applicable industry standards including the National Electric Code (NEC), National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and IEEE.
* Ability to perform independently and in a team environment and provide project ownership.

* Prior utility or utility consulting experience is a plus.

Architect, program, and document cutting-edge distributed Data Acquisition and Control (DAC) projects utilizing National Instruments hardware and software, such as LabVIEW, VeriStand, TestStand, SystemLink incorporating DAQ, PXI, cRIO, and RIO (FPGA) architectures.
Develop modular, readable, and reusable LabVIEW code, emphasizing reliability and continual improvement.

Ideal Experience & Skillsets:

B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related physics or engineering discipline.
5+ years of hands-on LabVIEW development experience; experience with VeriStand, TestStand and SystemLink.
Proven success in advanced LabVIEW programming, focusing on Data Acquisition and Control or HIL systems, within scientific, industrial, or research environments.
Proficiency with National Instruments hardware, including cRIO, PXIe, and expertise in both Windows and RT Linux environments.
