    Job Title: Controls Systems EngineerJob Description We are seeking a skilled Controls Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will execute automation commissioning and validation protocols, troubleshoot and remediate non-conformances, and work collaboratively with internal engineers and clients to enhance efficiency, product quality, and profitability in process manufacturing. You will also define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) configurations, and conduct testing, on-site commissioning, and qualification of control systems. Responsibilities * Execute automation commissioning and validation protocols. * Troubleshoot and remediate commissioning and validation non-conformances. * Collaborate with internal engineers and clients to provide state-of-the-art control systems. * Define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) configurations. * Conduct testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems. Essential Skills * Proficiency in PLC programming and automation. * Experience with PLC-based control systems. * Strong process documentation skills. * Hands-on experience troubleshooting Rockwell PLCs. * Experience in a GMP/Pharma environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Site, material, and equipment management. * Assembly of automated equipment. * Experience with Rockwell and Studio 5000. * Ability to execute assignments with minimal supervision. Work Environment This role offers long-term opportunities with flexibility to stay on the project or move to others as needed. Expect 30%-50% travel, primarily to Texas in 2026, with projects focusing on data centers and soon expanding to life sciences and power utilities. Additional pay is available for extended hours onsite, along with per diem, mileage compensation, and provided housing for those traveling outside the area. Our team consistently delivers control systems that enable high-quality, efficient, and reliable solutions for manufacturing and facilities. You will work on a variety of systems, including power monitoring and building management, to create common network/control systems for mechanical and electrical large buildings.
