This role focuses on improving R&D efficiency by aligning base machine development with autonomous systems, collaborating across multiple teams, and leading strategic test planning. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic validation plans for machine performance and autonomous systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, proving grounds, and technology groups. Define requirements for virtual and hardware-in-the-loop simulations to reduce physical testing. Support controls and software validation across multiple new product introduction (NPI) programs. Provide technical leadership in workshops and field validation activities. As a key member of the Samuel Automation's Engineering team, you design and develop custom controls systems for automated manufacturing systems. You are responsible for the design of control systems on automation equipment to meet customer and project requirements. What You'll Be Doing Designs and develops control systems and software programs specific to customer and project requirements based on standard programming methods when applicable. Selects and integrates hardware and software components such as robots, grippers, load cells, motion controllers, sensors, vision systems and lasers. What You Will Do: Design, develop, and integrate Raytheon test products within Test Equipment in multidiscipline engineering teams Develop both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis to include but not limited to: power analysis, RF chain analysis, and error budget analysis Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development, and responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of assigned projects Act, either as a part of the team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.
