Role Responsibilities: * Design of balance of plant packages from development to IFC * Engineering project support during pre-construction, construction, and turnover to Operations * Grid code compliance and interconnection requirements * Specification and evaluation of major balance of plant electrical equipment * Power system modeling and studies * Coordinating project engineering topics during construction * Management of 3rd party engineering consultants * Coordinating with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts during the project lifecycle * Support NERC Compliance documents and studies * Ensure that the highest level of health, safety, and environmental protection is incorporated into designs and standards * Support the development of electrical engineering standards * Support the development of engineering processes and procedures Job Requirements and Experiences: * A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college engineering program * Advanced degrees can reduce technical experience requirements * Minimum 5 years of professional experience (post undergraduate) in electrical engineering * Specific areas of experience and competency include transmission design, substation design, collection and distribution design, major equipment specification, power system studies, and system protection and control * Experience in renewable generation (wind turbine, solar PV, and BESS storage) project design is preferred * Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships * Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space * Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams * Strong leadership, communication, and ability to meet deadlines * Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables * Ability to multitask, while working independently and as part of a team * Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities * Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds * Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable * Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts Work Environment: This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE offices and field locations.
