The Controls Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of robotic systems used in manufacturing, automation, and other industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in robotics, electronics, and mechanical systems, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to ensure optimal robotic performance. Job Duties Install, program, and configure robotic systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company requirements. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and calibrations to ensure peak efficiency and reliability of robotic equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in robotic systems. Repair and replace faulty robotic components, including sensors, actuators, motors, and controllers. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize robotic performance and integrate systems into existing workflows. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications accurately. Provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance staff on proper robotic operation and maintenance procedures. Stay up to date with advancements in robotic technology and recommend improvements where applicable. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards when working with robotic systems. Experience and Education Associate's degree or technical certification in robotics, automation, mechatronics, or a related field. Previous experience working with industrial robots, automation equipment, or CNC machinery is preferred. Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and software-related robotic issues. Knowledge of PLC programming, robotic programming languages, and motion control systems is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including flexible shifts if needed.
