This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain process and production controls and instrumentation equipment. Performs predictive and preventive maintenance on systems and processes to support the achievement of the company's vision, mission and values. Essential Functions Perform highly diversified duties to install, calibrate and maintain food processing and production controls and instrumentation equipment. Develop PLC code and SCADA control system architecture. Detect, troubleshoot, repair and identify root cause of plant and production control equipment issues. Perform planned, unplanned and preventive repairs of all plant equipment. Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical drawings, P&IDs and work orders to perform required tasks. Safely operate the plant utility systems during shift (steam, air handling, ammonia, compressed air, electrical, water and sewer). Addresses items on the corrective action database (CAD) in a timely manner so that the list is kept to 30 days current. Safely handle, prepare and use chemicals while wearing proper PPE. Design, build and coordinate/lead large-scale controls projects. Configure, program, implement and test large-scale controls projects. Maintain training requirements to serve on the emergency response team. Understand and adhere to all GMPs and food safety policies and procedures and perform all work in a manner that ensures the highest standard of food safety and quality. Respond to all production area controls calls as a top priority to ensure production time is not lost. Work Environment This job operates in an office, shop and plant environment. This position works a 11- to 12-hour shift following an alternating schedule which includes weekends and holidays. This position is part of an on-call rotation. Associate degree in related technical field or equivalent number of years of controls experience. Proficiency in basic computer skills. What you will do Perform HVAC Control systems programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and preventative maintenance as it is related to mechanical, electrical, and low voltage controls components. Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment. Execute company sponsored as well as personally initiated training to insure the highest level of knowledge and capability are maintained Engage with customers to fully understand their systems and needs. Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions. What we look for Required Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or 2+ years experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequence and applications Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields Able to use hand, power tools and electrical testing equipment such as a multi meter. Solid knowledge base in use of personal computers. Attention to detail. Good communication and listening skills. HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $19.00-$25.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) The Mountrail County Weed Board is accepting applications for a Weed Control Technician/GIS Specialist. Duties include: Assisting with weed inspection, control, and management planning. Performing GIS data collection, mapping, and technical support for Weed Control and the County Ag Agency. Supporting regulatory compliance, public outreach, and landowner education programs.
