Duties and Responsibilities
Must be trained in use of SPC techniques to diagnose problems and to maintain production SPC sheets as required.
Performs basic metallurgical and mechanical lab based testing of product to specifications.

You will contribute by:
+ Maintain all systems and subsystems of automated material handling system. Ensure rapid equipment return to serviceability by performing thorough in-depth troubleshooting on any non-functioning or faulted system, subsystem or component. Keep Management informed of specific problems and suggested actions, including approximate time required for repairs.
+ Remove and replace controls components, reload parameters for PLC product lines, and other like components, such as server based controls or industrial PCs
+ Troubleshoot and replace field bus communication components on the material handling conveyor systems, including addressing components and running diagnostics. Be able to remove and replace mechanical parts of the conveyor such as: repairing broken chain, belting, rollers drive motors, realigning or replacing control system sensors (photo-eyes), proximity, etc. Diagnose and replace as required electronic sensors including reprogramming and alignment.
+ Perform Preventive Maintenance on multi axis robotic arms and End Of Arm Tools. Be proficient with conveyor maintenance including Preventive Maintenance (PM) actions on automated conveyor equipment as directed.
+ Document repairs, PMs, parts usage, and time by completing work orders in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Responsible for cleanup of equipment and removal of replaced parts from work areas after repairs are completed.
+ Assist and train other automation team technicians in troubleshooting and repairs of any equipment as required, consistent with level of experience and training.

Skills
+ Working knowledge of 480, 277, and 120 volt electrical systems (single and three phase). Experience with and working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller).
+ Experience welding with stick or MIG a plus
+ Site inspections, equipment inspections, mechanical repairs and replacements, all which require good mobility, physical exertion, walking, bending, reaching, climbing ladders, carrying tools and parts, etc.

Submit documentation changes when needed to update work instructions to the Quality Specialist - Document Control

What you will do
Support customer environments by troubleshooting technical issues related to enterprise imaging systems
Investigate system behavior by analyzing logs and identifying patterns that require longer-term solutions
Collaborate with internal engineering and project teams to coordinate fixes and system improvements
Support new customer implementations by assisting with system configuration and basic integration work
Work closely with hospital IT teams and clinical users to understand workflows and technical requirements
Build long-term relationships with customers and serve as a reliable technical contact for your assigned portfolio
Participate in an after-hours support rotation once fully trained

Position Summary
* Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs production equipment for electrical and controls issues.
* Performs daily repair of material movement vehicles and the related track.
* Supports PM activities on production machinery.
Essential Functions
* Technical Capability in Electrical Troubleshooting: respond to calls from the production floor to diagnose and fix electrical issues with machinery.
* Troubleshooting consists of: Reading machine schematics, investigating wiring and component issues, PLC and ladder logic troubleshooting, working with robotic systems, working with vision systems, and working with labeling systems.
* Professional Support Attitude: work closely with production operators and technicians to resolve issues in a timely manner.
* Communicate with production leadership in terms of priority and status.
* Perform electrical and mechanical repair on plant materials handling system as needed.
* Perform troubleshooting of plant automation systems.
* Document work performed in a timely and detailed manner in work logs.
Education and/ or Experience Required:
* HS diploma/GED with min 1yr of related experience required
OR
* Vocational/Technical School diploma or certification related to Electrical fundamentals/Electrical Troubleshooting with min 6 months related experience required
* Associates degree in electronics related field preferred
