The Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Technician position is based at the Marathon Pipe Line's Marine Terminal and/or the East Hynes Land Terminal in Long Beach, California. This position works in and around petroleum products and crude oil facilities executing electrical, controls and instrumentation duties at terminal and pipeline facilities. The position also provides field support to various other Marathon Pipe Line LLC processes and departments. This position will assess, maintain, repair and monitor control of distributed control systems. This position reports into the Marathon Pipe Line LA Basin Region Maintenance Area leadership team. The successful candidate will perform various duties including: maintenance and repair of medium voltage equipment, calibration and troubleshooting various instrumentation, control systems and automation systems. The candidate should have the ability to trouble shoot problems, work independently and also in a team environment. Travel, callouts and overtime may be required on an as-needed basis. This position is represented by the IBEW. The successful candidate must complete their Level 2 qualification within (24) months of hire. Entry Level pay rate is $41.40 p/hour.
