About Phase3D Culture Phase3D is currently a small team, comprised of independent thinkers, working to solve challenges in software development, data analysis, mechatronics, electrical engineering, and computer engineering. About the Role: We are looking for a candidate with a well-rounded set of skills to support Phase3D's product deployment, customer sales, and product development. This role will incorporate a mix of fast paced engineering, sales, and operations work, including process development, data analysis, and travel to 3D printing sites such as NASA, the US Air Force, DOE national labs. This role will manage strategic customers and work on projects to mature the readiness level of Phase3D's products. About the Role We are looking for a well-rounded, hands-on candidate to support the production and deployment of Phase3D's in-situ monitoring systems for additive manufacturing. This role combines production, field service, and operations work. The Engineering Technician will assemble, pack, ship, test, and help install Phase3D products. These goals can be accomplished via 3 main stages. Month 1 · Understand Phase3D core technologies, technology roadmap, and business strategy o Complete one calibration of the Fringe system at a development partner's laboratory o Install updated metal fixtures in at least 1 partner site o Supervise two biweekly tests, supporting developers in troubleshooting tasks · Socialize with the cross-functional team, understanding each person's area of expertise and skills spanning the hardware, software, and product installation activities o Take the initiative to schedule a 15 minute meeting with each member of the Phase3D team, including our digital fringe projection expert and our company coach · Understand how Phase3D monitoring provides value to research, additive equipment manufacturers, and contract manufacturers o Schedule a meeting with Sales to receive a full presentation as if you were a customer · Get hands on with the technology, learn how to install and calibrate the system, learn how heightmap readings predict and identify build defects o Create a report for a chosen build, identifying interesting defect areas and reporting on them. Months 2-3 · Taking initiative to fill gaps in operations that you identify o Lead all biweekly test coordination, successfully run 4 biweekly tests and write reports on the results for the slack channel · Planning trips and leading system installations at customer facilities o Lead the trip planning process for at least 1 installation · Build sensor packages and assemble systems with minimal supervision o Make 4 trigger cables and maintain stock of 4 trigger cables o Build and maintain stock of 4 Fringe kits · Provide customer feedback to the team for continuous product improvement. o Make a report on identified areas of weakness in our team/workflow, with suggested improvements. The Automation Technician's primary responsibility is the safe and continual operation of automated packaging, processing, extraction and other automated equipment. The Automation Technician will be responsible for the preventative maintenance of the processing and packaging equipment, as well as any daily equipment/operational issues that may occur with the equipment. CORE JOB DUTIES Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform preventative maintenance on industrial processing, packaging, and automated equipment. Including Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Electrical troubleshooting. Safely repairs, inspects, troubleshoots, and ensures proper operation of processing and packaging equipment throughout the facilities. Performs maintenance, disassembly, repair, replacement or adjustment of various equipment in accordance with technical specifications and engineering instructions. Performs set-up and changeover of packaging equipment. Interpret technical data - blueprints, manufacturers manuals and specifications. Ensure all production documentation is maintained timely and accurately. At the direction of the Maintenance Manager, partner with operations and production teams to ensure scheduled downtime and proper maintenance of equipment. Performs other related duties and assignments as required. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS 3+ years of experience inspecting, troubleshooting, performing complex repairs, and or installing high speed packaging and processing equipment. Proficient with lockout tagout procedures (LOTO) and other OSHA safety standards as required. Robot Technician WeatherTech Direct is seeking well-qualified Robot Technicians to perform configurations on the robotic systems and troubleshoot errors on the thermoforming machines in the Production department. This is a great opportunity to join our 3rd shift team! As a Robot Technician you will Configure robot systems and perform job calibrations for production operation Monitor robot systems during production and address or report any operational issues Assist in repairs to the robotic systems. Understand the requirements of a properly installed and prepared tool and the impact of errors or improper setup on the robotic process Perform machine cycle and make any necessary robot program modifications Assess and troubleshoot operational errors Read and understand product briefs and process sheets to ensure accuracy in machine set up Operate HMI/MIU to optimize platen heights, install program for robots/robotics lines, and input process numbers for mold changes Understand and efficiently operate robotic pendants, controllers, and panels.
