This role will play a critical part in assisting with the design, implementation, and monitoring of a technology control framework. The Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure excellence in control ownership and contribute to the maturity of the Technology Risk and Controls program.
*What you'll be doing (ie. job duties):*
* Lead IT process and gap assessments against industry standards and technology regulatory requirements to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness
* Design, review and validate processes and configurations across technology systems, including cloud environments, operating systems, databases, and network infrastructure, to ensure alignment with established standards, compliance requirements, and best practices
* Assist in maintaining and providing oversight over the technology controls inventory to mitigate technology risks and meet regulatory requirements, technology policies, and frameworks
* Collaborate with stakeholder teams including Security, Engineering, Technology Governance, IT, and Operational Risk to support technology requirements and ensure control ownership
* Developing technology requirements for new products, updating existing controls, and providing subject matter expertise to product teams
* Support Security Compliance, Information Security, Platform, and Engineering stakeholders in identifying and executing on continuous control monitoring opportunities
* Provide guidance and leverage technical expertise to determine effectiveness of change management processes, i.e. unit testing, CI/CD, etc.
* Define, draft and communicate identified issues and technology process improvement opportunities and assist in developing creative solutions to mitigate risks and address regulatory challenges
* Provide reporting to stakeholders and management on progress, escalations, and control initiatives
* Drive the creation of procedural documentation, including training materials that support first line of defense risk management, in the form of runbooks and narratives
* Validate remediation efforts for identified gaps and issues to ensure resolution effectively aligns with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies
* Drive creation of clear and concise technical documentation for control monitoring
*What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):*
* Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Security Engineering, Technology Compliance, IT audit, or equivalent roles
* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in technology frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001

Position Summary:

Working Conditions:

Assists engineers in the planning, design, development, fabrication, and testing of products, equipment, and processes for the Less Lethal product line. Uses engineering tools (CAD, engineering analysis, prototype fabrication techniques) to develop and test products from concept to production. Collect and prepare data for use in proposals. Design manufacturing process to meet cost, quality, safety, and schedule requirements. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for both in house and vendor processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with Engineers on developmental projects and produce prototype samples of varying degrees of complexity and material types
Assist in product testing and recording data
Analyze and evaluate results during and after product testing
Provide interactive feedback to engineering team on samples and/or issues
Compile testing data and reports - Conduct machine maintenance, as required
Act as product liaison between development and manufacturing
Support ISO 9001 QMS
Perform other duties consistent with the position as required or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
0-3+ years' experience as an engineering technician in supporting mechanical design engineering efforts in a hands-on product development, manufacturing, or test and evaluation environment
CAD and/or Solid Works experience
Machining /fabrication experience
Knowledge of machine shop equipment and procedures
Proficient in various machine operations
Experience with experimental data and writing technical reports
Good understanding of fundamental engineering and physical principles
Comfortable with firearms and explosives - Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel)
Excellent planning, organization and time management skills
Must be able to work independently with minimum support from engineers
Must be mechanically inclined and capable of constructing/modifying test fixtures utilizing standard electrical tools
Familiar with set-up and operation of instrumentation and data acquisition systems in support of product testing
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks - Knowledge of CNC milling is a plus
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Associate's Degree preferred
Vocational training and/or relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education
Employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to explosives. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Develop and drive technical electro-mechanical integration projects, applying a variety of engineering and manufacturing disciplines. Requires positive technical and commercial interaction with various internal and external organizations, including Business Development, Design Engineering and Operations.
Responsible for designing equipment and/or factory automation across broad market sectors; semiconductor, medical, automotive, aerospace, etc. This position will perform design engineering work from concept stage to production. The position requires the individual to work primarily from our Nampa Manufacturing Facility with regular visits to meet with local customers, engineering clients, and vendors. An ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional, with the ability to multitask on various projects in various phases. You will be working in a very dynamic, fast-paced environment with short schedules and tight deadlines without compromising accuracy and quality of work.
Knowledge of electro-mechanical engineering and manufacturing principles along with gas and chemical abatement systems is key to the candidate that will be responsible for this role.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Develop concepts, present ideas, design, calculate, budget and schedule solutions for electrical and software automation.
Provides ladder logic programs and user interface programs based on a sequence of operations developed by either the client or within the engineering team.
Must be familiar with electrical codes and specifications needed for the design, drafting & manufacturing of power distribution and control cabinets.
Must have a willingness to learn codes and compliances in various industries, semiconductor, food, medical and aerospace.
Prepare AutoCAD schematics and cable assemblies based on design specifications and create bills of materials based on the design.
Lead design review presentations with internal and external customers for design discussion and approval.
Work closely with supply chain and account managers in component selection for achieving optimal cost and lead time for the systems.
Support Manufacturing organization during system build to ensure strict adherence to design, customer specifications and Industry Standards.
Work with Field Service personnel to provide onsite engineering support to customers for installation, operation, retrofit and repair of designed and manufactured systems.
Design to cost goals and for manufacturability and testability.
Will be required to occasionally work outside business hours to meet timelines.
Support Business Development team to attract new customers and opportunities.
Review new quote packages, resolving design and operational issues as they arise.
Act as Operations liaison on design reviews.
Investigate and resolve technical issues throughout build and provide solutions to internal/external customers, including interpreting Cad models and/or schematics.
Troubleshoot system operation as required based on customer requirements.
Recommend improvement in quality or production standards to achieve optimum performance.
Read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, understand the scope of work.
Inspect and functionally test work performed for quality, cosmetics, workmanship and conformance to drawings.

Proficiency and current experience in AutoCAD Electrical toolset for designing cable assemblies and schematics.
Proficiency and current experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and WAGO PLCs/HMIs is required.
Experience with various communication protocols and network setup for industrial equipment, Ethernet, USB, Serial and Devicenet.
Experience with PID loops for temperature, flow, pressure, and motion control.
General understanding of UL, NEC and NFPA79.
Ability to design power distribution up to 480VAC, and low voltage control panels.
General understanding and some experience with PCB design will be a plus.

Job Summary
