Responsibilities Performs maintenance and repairs on electromechanical packaging machines, air compressors, robots, tray formers and other related equipment in Sojo mobile packaging deployments Develops a deep understanding of best practices and optimization techniques for Sojo's packaging lines, and works with Engineering and Operations teams to improve performance Supports the deployment and setup of new Sojo Packaging equipment installations Changes over lines based on pre-programmed recipes for new packaging formats Evaluates equipment failures for root cause and works with broader technical team to make improvements on the equipment Install modifications and upgrades to equipment as instructed by manager Follow PM schedules and procedures, recording all relevant information in Sojo's Computerized Maintenance Management System Install replacement materials and support upgrades to equipment and machines Lubricate, clean and service equipment. A CST technician inspects, assesses, categorizes, and services military and support equipment utilizing paper and/or electronic checklists. In addition, CST technicians are required to perform surface preparation and touch-up painting, apply corrosion prevention compounds (CPCs), and conduct routine maintenance on application equipment. CST technicians must have a working knowledge of all procedures, responsibilities, and billets within the CST. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a CPAC Service Technician: Follow applicable safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Operate Corrosion Prevention Compound (CPC) application equipment, which includes compressors, application guns, grinders, vacuums, etc. Apply CPCs on various types of military and support equipment as directed. Accurately identify Marine Corps Corrosion Category Codes 1-5, the 4 stages of corrosion, and the correlation between category codes and stages of corrosion. Perform equipment corrosion assessments using a paper copy of the Marine Corps CPAC Program Corrosion Assessment Checklist (CAC). Perform equipment corrosion assessments using an electronic version of the CAC. Perform surface preparation and touch-up procedures on military and support equipment. Perform routine maintenance of CPAC equipment. Travel as required to perform the duties of the position. **Hiring for 10 positions. Requirements Possess a valid state driver's license. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: During short-durations, CST technicians are required to lift to 50 pounds safely. During long-durations, CST technicians are required to wear and use company provided personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes but is not limited to: safety goggles, hand protection, and respirator equipment, etc. Note: On a given day, CST technicians are required to wear either a dust mask or fitted respirator (depending upon the task performed) to apply Corrosion Preventive Compounds (CPCs) and/or Surface Preparation and Touch-Up Paint. Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent, and/or a vocational degree. At least two years of related experience (military or commercial) is preferred. Prior military experience is a preferred but not required Within 60-days of hire, CST technicians are required to successfully complete CPAC certification. CST technicians must complete the Defense Acquisition University, Continuous Learning Module; Corrosion Prevention and Control Overview (CLM 038). Our Robot Technicians will execute robot fleet repair throughout the shift, troubleshoot unexpected situations that may arise, and work effectively to keep our robots in operation. Job Responsibilities: Technical Tasks: Maintaining the health of our global fleet of robots through daily maintenance and repair tasks. Which can include but is not limited to - diagnosing unforeseen problems, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment (tires, electronics, motors). Carrying out preventive maintenance activities and upgrades on robots and infrastructure. Monitoring and servicing our internal systems, running tests and completing reports, and completing updates or improvements to existing systems as appropriate. Perform root cause analysis to identify the causes of faults or problems and systematically develop a solution to prevent/solve underlying issues. Operational Tasks: Accurately document all tasks/partner or internal messaging related to service concerns or robot-related issues using appropriate applications/tools. Maintain a clean and organized hub by performing accurate spare parts inventory audits twice a week and ensuring all tools are accounted for and returned to their proper location after use. Work with our engineering team to identify any potential improvements regarding robot health and design. Assist our Operational Team and vendors/merchants by providing in-person assistance through performing weekly Merchant Preflights to understand any service-related issues, provide operational and troubleshooting assistance related to Starship-provided devices, and act as a Starship brand representative while interacting with clients. Occasionally support our Operational Service team by assisting with Robot field rescues or operational services tasks when needed. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: A passion for robots and innovative technologies. Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or another related STEM field. Previous experience in Technical Support and with any service desk application is beneficial, but not required. Good knowledge regarding mechanics, electronics, and IT. Excellent client-facing skills. Self-starter; takes initiative, can work without supervision and begin projects independently. Experience & Education Requirements: Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, CLI tools, and scripting preferred, but not required. Hobby projects in electronics or mechanics. Previous experience in managing a large fleet of devices.
