Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Utility Protection and Control Technician I. In this role, our technicians work remote, travel up to 3 consecutive weeks at a time, and will work additional hours and occasional weekends when supporting client commissioning activities. Travel is primarily in the Northeast and northern Midwest based on customer requirements. A company vehicle is provided for both business and personal use. The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 ($40.02/hr) - $130,000 ($62.50/hr) a year. In addition to base salary, you are eligible for premium pay overtime, and may be eligible for a per diem based on client assignment. What you'll do: As a Utility Protection & Control (P&C) Technician I, you'll assist the Lead Technician in overseeing technical operations and documentation, including work plans, isolation plans and functional test plans. This hands-on role involves comprehensive testing and final checkout ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability. As a P&C Technician I, you'll collaborate closely with the Lead Technician, acting as a crucial safeguard to identify and correct any errors from design or installation, protecting employees, equipment and the integrity of transmission and distribution systems. In this position you will; * Work around energized "In-Service" electrical equipment to perform testing and commissioning activities on reliability upgrades in energized "brownfield" transmission stations. * Assist in the development of isolation plans & procedures for the removal of existing equipment such as protective relays, relay panels, AC/DC panels, battery systems, breakers, transformers, SSVTs, CCVTs, PTs, CTs, and linear couplers. * Communicate technical information to non-technical personnel, educate customers, and present information to internal and external customers. * Assist with all aspects of testing of substation devices and equipment. * Identify and resolve design errors. * Directly witness or perform critical tests such as DC functional trip testing prior to energization and in-service. Position Success Criteria: * Successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton's safety qualification program and policy. This includes role-applicable portions of the EESS Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) program and any required annual re-certifications thereafter. * Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings. Full-time Description Reports to: O&M Director The O & M Vegetation and Snow Control Technician will be responsible for site maintenance of vegetation and snow removal, communicating service schedules with customers, and performing field service including mowing, herbicide application, use of power trimmers, removal of debris, and snow removal. Job DescriptionDescription: Reports to: O&M Director The O & M Vegetation and Snow Control Technician will be responsible for site maintenance of vegetation and snow removal, communicating service schedules with customers, and performing field service including mowing, herbicide application, use of power trimmers, removal of debris, and snow removal. The ideal candidate should have a safety-first mindset, strong mechanical aptitude, ability to operate machinery, communication and organizational skills necessary to achieve work order completion. This role must be capable of working independently or in a team environment. This is a full time traveling position. Essential Functions: 1. The belief that all work can be completed with ZERO injuries and the safety of all employees and site personnel is top priority. 2. Perform vegetation control and snow removal when required according to work order system or as directed by management. 3. Ensure that contracted maintenance schedules are adhered to. 4. Work with other members of the maintenance team, sub-contractors and other groups to continuously improve process, maintenance performance, site quality and maintenance cost improvement. 5. Create service reports and maintain spare parts inventory. 6. Complete minor equipment repairs and routine maintenance. 7.
