ABOUT THIS ROLE
You will be the first dedicated BAS Technician in OKC - a true player-coach role. We are looking for someone who can execute today and help us build for tomorrow. That means running high-level installations, commissioning new systems, and mentoring the next generation of BAS techs.
You will have strong partnership with our Tulsa-based BAS team, access to excellent tools and support, and leadership that is serious about growth and investment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Install, commission, and service building automation systems and components
Program Delta Controls and Niagara-based systems using predefined and custom sequences
Troubleshoot system communication and logic issues
Interpret electrical, mechanical, and network drawings to guide installations
Perform firmware upgrades, calibrations, and device configurations
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and service teams to deliver complete BAS solutions
Coach, mentor, and help grow a high-performance controls team in OKC

WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD
5 or more years of BAS experience with DDC, Delta Controls, or Niagara
Proven experience with installation, programming, and commissioning of control systems
Strong understanding of networking concepts, IP protocols, and systems integration
Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and network drawings
Comfort estimating scope and supporting project planning
Experience developing graphics, custom logic, and user interfaces
Leadership or mentoring experience is a major plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned):
1. Design and install: PLC control systems and operator interfaces on major projects as well as smaller scale projects. Effectively maintain programming, hardware networking and communication; troubleshoot, determine causes of failure and perform corrective actions; oversee full industrial control system project implementation on both hardware and software problems
2. Project support: Support internal projects to include plant control system upgrades. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics and parts specifications.
3. Preventative Maintenance and troubleshooting: Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Will be using electro-mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot, repair and perform PM's on conveyors, blenders, and other equipment used in the manufacturing process
4. Safety in the workplace: Promote a safe and clean working environment by following clean as you go procedures. Ensure that all safety procedures and guidelines are properly adhered to. Inform appropriate management and floor engineers of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved. Attend and participate in all safety, staff, etc. meetings and activities.

· Indirect supervision of contractor work on projects and floor engineers when troubleshooting equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:

· Extensive hands-on PLC programming experience including new design and installation startups

· Ability to interpret existing drive wiring and parameters from one brand and retrofit with another

· Extensive background with Controls networking: DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, Serial-over-Ethernet, Hart, DH+, RS232, DH485
· Ability to troubleshoot Multi-PLC messaging between different classes of PLC's: SLC 5/03-4-5, PLC5/40, ControlLogix
· Through knowledge of communications software: RSlinx Classic, RSlinx Enterprise, and RSNetWorx products
· Basic understanding of DCOM and computer security
· Ability to provide network troubleshooting using: BOOTP, ARP, PING, ROUTE, IPCONFIG, DHCP, and SNMP
· Good understanding of Ethernet managed switches in a controls environment and basic understanding of routers

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The qualified individual will be responsible for new installations, programming, and upgrades of equipment used in the manufacturing of tubing and other related processes. This position requires assisting maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and providing on-call coverage on a rotating basis when necessary.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Adhering to NEC and NFPA 70 standards for electrical installations and workplace safety.
- Interpreting and editing electrical schematics in accordance with IEC and JIC standards.
- Troubleshooting and installing Motor Control Systems, including 24VDC and 120VAC control voltages, 480VAC to 600VDC operational voltages, and Variable Frequency Drives.
- Working knowledge of Connected Components Workbench software.
- Programming and troubleshooting PLCs using the Rockwell Software Suite, including RSLogix 500 and Studio 5000.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires full range of body motion to include: frequent lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting, reaching and working overhead. Such activities are often performed for extended periods of time and in tight, awkward positions (such as underneath, reaching over or on top of machinery and equipment) or at heights up to forty feet to perform maintenance on tube processing equipment, machinery and overhead cranes.
Position requires frequent walking and/or standing on concrete floor during a ten-hour shift while wearing steel-toed shoes. Control Technician may walk up to two (2) miles per ten-hour shift while performing essential duties.
Position requires the ability to walk on slippery, unstable surfaces while maintaining one's balance.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires frequent unassisted lifting of a variety of objects from various positions, which range in weight from 5 to 50 pounds with an average weight of 34-37 pounds.
While proper lifting standards are required and emphasized, there is great strain on a Control Technician's back. For example, Control Technician's carry either a tool pouch or tool backpack from equipment to equipment to perform essential functions of their job. The average weight of a tool pouch is 18-22 lbs. and the average weight of a tool backpack is 25-30 lbs. Tool pouches are either worn slung over their shoulder or around their waist.
Control Technician's utilize a variety of hand positions such as turning, twisting, and pounding. Some tools used by the Control Technician vibrate, cut, and grind.
The job is fast paced and the ability to deal with stress is essential.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: The work environment is an indoor manufacturing facility where employees are regularly exposed to loud and prolonged noise. This noise is constant and includes sounds from machinery and overhead cranes, as well as frequent, extremely loud clanging caused by metal tubing colliding during processing.
To ensure safety, employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which includes noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, and leather steel-toed work shoes or boots.
Employees work ten-hour shifts and experience regular exposure to hot temperatures ranging from 95°F to 110°F during the summer. This heat is due to both the outside temperature and the heat generated by processes within the facility. Additionally, employees may also be exposed to cold temperatures, which vary according to the actual outside temperature.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES: A typical day consists of the following tasks.
Required to read and perform programming changes to include wiring, ladder logic, structured text, function blocks, operator interface and computer networking.
Often required to work on a computer for long hours while developing or modifying programs on the equipment.
Required to work with multiple programing software including RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000, Studio Designer 5000, Studio View Designer 5000, Factory Talk View ME, Connected Components Workbench.
Required knowledge in Windows operating systems to configure and setup networks, communication ports, and data file management systems.
Works closely with engineering on the development or modifications to the equipment involving electrical and control system.
Required to read electrical schematics to troubleshoot, repair, or modify equipment wiring.
Required to set up and operate various types of production machinery and equipment after they have performed a modification prior to approving production usage to ensure superior operating and safe conditions after performing changes to equipment.
Working with voltages up to and including 600 volts DC and 480 volts AC.
Uses a variety of power and hand tools such as, but not limited to, drills, saws, screwdrivers, wire stripping and terminating tools while performing work on machinery and equipment.
Operates fork truck whenever necessary.
Operates aerial lift & scissor lift when required to perform work at elevated heights. When working at heights is required the average height is twenty feet. The maximum height that a Control Technician will work at is forty feet.
Required to work from verbal or written instructions.
Required to be a First Responder to any emergency, either equipment or personnel, and are trained in CPR and First Aid.
Often required to crawl into, under, or on top of equipment and machinery, including Heat Treat Furnaces while following OSHA Confined Space Regulations.
Often required to climb ladders to make changes, inspect, or install equipment or machinery.
Inspect, move, and install new or existing equipment and machinery.
Work on major projects, including complete equipment and machinery rebuilds, design alterations, or modifications of existing equipment.
Communicate with production operators to gather information regarding equipment failures to troubleshoot problems effectively and examine machinery or mechanical equipment to identify reasons for malfunctions.
Collaborate with production teams on changes needed to enhance the functionality of the operator interface on the equipment.
Use electrical meters to identify voltages and wires during troubleshooting.
Employ hand tools to access, install, or remove components for equipment modifications.
Lay out, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, machinery, and wiring. Examples of equipment include motors, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, transformers, and programmable logic controls.
Install, repair, and calibrate electrical and electronic recording devices and regulating control instruments.
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, and install electrical conduit, pull wiring through conduit, splice wires, connect wiring to fixtures and power equipment, install grounding leads, and monitor the performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
Work closely with the Maintenance Department when installing, reconfiguring, or removing equipment or machinery.
Develop initial training for new programming, operator interface, or machine operation for the maintenance department and production managers.
Fill in for other positions as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Demonstrate self-motivation and take the initiative after receiving assignments.

WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD
5 or more years of BAS experience with DDC, Delta Controls, or Niagara
Proven experience with installation, programming, and commissioning of control systems
Strong understanding of networking concepts, IP protocols, and systems integration
Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and network drawings
Comfort estimating scope and supporting project planning
Experience developing graphics, custom logic, and user interfaces
Leadership or mentoring experience is a major plus

You might be just who we're looking for Mosquito Joe of OKC Metro is looking for an organized, positive and professional Mosquito Control Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll provide mosquito control treatment services to residential and commercial customers to get rid of mosquitoes to make outside fun again.What your days will look like
Spend your working hours outside making outside fun again for the community instead of being stuck behind a desk or in a cubicle.
Visually inspect and treat for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks and other outdoor pests
Maintain chemical and operational records in accordance with state requirements
Handle pesticides in safe manner in accordance with state and federal regulations
Follow a route schedule, ensuring timely and safe arrival at each customer
Communicate with customers to discuss additional services that meet customer needs for the most efficient and complete mosquito management
Some non-negotiables
Valid and current certification/license as required by the state for the commercial application of pesticides (may also qualify to complete the certification/licensing program during initial training)
Valid driver's license with safe driving record
Some basic math skills
Complete pesticide certification requirements and complete continuing education requirements
