Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechatronics Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in designing, building, and maintaining machines and systems. You will apply your skills in mechanical engineering, electronics, computer programming, control engineering, and systems design to ensure system stability and efficiency, contributing to the growth and overall success of our business.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, maintain, and manage high-technology engineering systems for the automation of semiconductor FAB.
Apply mechatronic or automated solutions to the transfer of materials, components, or finished goods.
Create mechanical design documents for parts, assemblies, or finished products.
Maintain technical project files.
Conduct studies to determine the feasibility, costs, or performance benefits of new mechatronic equipment.
Research, select, or apply sensors, communication technologies, or control devices for motion control, position sensing, pressure sensing, or electronic communication.
Identify and select materials appropriate for mechatronic system designs.
Install and maintain mechanical control systems.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Mechatronics Technician or similar role.
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and computer systems.
Excellent manual dexterity.
Familiar with PLCs, IPCs and other control systems
Exposure to C++, C, Python, Java etc.
Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to enforce these.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience with semiconductor process equipment
Associate degree in mechatronics, automation engineering, or a related field, or US Military Veteran with applicable technical experience

* Troubleshoots and repairs field telemetry systems under the direction of a Communications and Control Technician 2, Supervisor, or Engineer.
* Configures, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains computer hardware/software and auxiliary equipment supporting a variety of radio, voice, and data communications equipment.
* Fabricates specialized interface circuits for telecom/data hardware and creates and maintains detailed documentation of all wiring system changes/circuit modifications under the supervision of a Communications and Control Technician 2, Supervisor, or Engineer.
* Responds to failures and emergencies involving interruptions in communications and other electronic equipment; performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
* Ensures installations are safe and operate properly; reviews the work of contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

Job Overview
The Instrumentation & Controls Field Technician supports an installed base of 24/7 power and gas production facility control systems. The sites operated by ESI and others are located nationwide and will require frequent site visits to perform maintenance and improvements as needed. We also support local water and irrigation systems in central Oregon as needed. They work closely with operations and engineering to maintain and improve installed control systems as well as assist in the installation and commissioning of new systems. The Instrumentation & Controls Field Technician is responsible for maintaining sound control system, networking, software and security methods to keep the plants functioning for optimal performance and safety. The Instrumentation & Controls Field Technician will be required, from time to time, to assist operators in equipment maintenance and rebuilds at remote sites. An ability to work independently, self-motivate, and communicate effectively with team members is of the utmost important to this role. Responsibilities and Duties

Qualifications:
* Proven understanding of control, instrumentation, and electrical systems in industrial environment. Ability to troubleshoot 4-20mA transmitter, electro-pneumatic control loops, as well as industrial control components (e.g., solenoid valve, actuators, regulators, PID controllers, etc.).
* Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or technical degree (Associate or Bachelor's) or equivalent combination of work experience and technical education/training required.
* At least 5 years of related experience within the fields of customer service, UHP production systems, instrumentation and controls, gas purity analysis, engineering work procedure preparation and execution, technical documentation review and revision.
* Proven understanding of regulatory and industrial standards and codes. Capable of operating a forklift or overhead crane or man lift according to company policy.

What you will do
