Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled ControlsTechnician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, programming, and commissioning of building automation systems across various sectors including industrial, institutional, and commercial. This role is essential in ensuring the effective operation of control systems and enhancing overall system performance.
Key Responsibilities
Install and configure control systems, including PLC and HMI devices.
Commission and test building automation systems to ensure they meet operational standards.
Conduct hardware installations and troubleshooting of control devices.
Develop and review control drawings and documentation related to system installations.
Program software for control systems and optimize existing programs for efficiency.
Perform diagnosis and repair of control system issues as they arise.

Qualifications

I. POSITION SUMMARY
Performs shrinkage control sampling and testing. And process pellets from powder for shrinkage measurements. These are integral support functions in the efficient manufacturing of ceramic products that meet the required specifications & quality standards. Assembles, repairs and controls cradles that are used in the extrusion process.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The section is not intended to be an all-inclusive list and NGK Ceramics reserves the right to include other duties as assigned):
Shrinkage Control:
* Obtain one subgroup (3 pieces) of green Honey Ceram samples from each available extruder line, and one subgroup of STs for each kiln cycle.
* Marking and measuring them for each kiln cycle daily.
* Shrinkage setting shall be reviewed after the subgroup has run for each of the kiln cycle's shrinkage results.
* Evaluate Results. After the fire body subgroup has been measured and the results are in the Infinity charts, review the results to ensure that it meets the criteria.
* Additional Measurements on Contour Machine are needed when the parts are not met. Measure the subgroup on Material Control's Contour machine and the Technical Leader and/or Supervisor will compare the results against the customer's specification.
* If the samples meet customer's specification, then send the samples to Material Control for additional testing. Evaluation is complete.
* If the samples fail to meet the customer's specification, then hold the samples for further analysis.
* Obtain incoming honey cream from Japan; measure on optibel.
* Process pellets from powder for shrinkage measurements on the Contour Machine.
* Recognize defects in production; Hensy-color, Tatagire-Cracks, Tamen-Face cracks.
Cradle Control:
A. Checks cradles by visually inspecting and touching for damages such as burrs, bubbles, frayed
corners, loose bumpers, etc.
B. Inspects cradles using micrometers, calipers and other measuring devices.
C. Operates HAAS CNC Mill, hot cutting knife, and hot wire cutting machine.
D. Checks inventories to ensure that sufficient supplies are available for upcoming product runs; notifies supervisor if materials need to be ordered.
E. Assembles and repairs cradles, bumpers and screws.
F. Enter data into company's information systems: Infinity, spreadsheets, etc.
G. Uses caution when using cutting instruments; uses proper lifting techniques.
H. Participates in PM (Preventive Maintenance), MMOL (Machine Maintenance Operator Leader), and G5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) activities as needed.
I. Follows all EMS (Environmental Management System) procedures, including the disposal of waste and used materials.

**Overview**
The Controls Technologist (CT) I is a technical expert who supports specific project delivery or technology development efforts. A CT I has a very high level of experience and expertise in the field. Position Summary
The ControlsTechnician will play a dynamic and critical role in both the installation of new building automation systems and the ongoing service, planned maintenance, and retrofit of existing systems. This role offers a unique blend of project-based work and technical service, ensuring a diverse and engaging day-to-day experience for a control professional. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Installation & Commissioning
Perform installation, programming, integration, and repair of building management systems (BMS), including service, planned maintenance, and retrofits.
Lead or assist in the installation and commissioning of new building automation systems on project sites, working closely with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely and successful completion.
Contribute to retrofit projects, involving the replacement of old control systems with new, non-proprietary solutions.
Conduct "point-to-point" checkouts and terminate low-voltage connections.
Service & Maintenance
Perform routine and complex service calls to diagnose and repair issues with building management systems.
Execute planned maintenance activities on a scheduled basis to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
Maintain and repair low-voltage wiring, equipment, and devices.
Technical Troubleshooting & Integration

Responsibilities:

Monitor radio & wi-fi network condition and identify failures

Job Description
The role:
The ideal candidate will oversee, manage and support the site radio & OT networks along with assisting with maintenance programs for fleet hardware systems and automation.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Monitor radio & wi-fi network condition and identify failures
Diagnose failure mechanism for radio, wi-fi and onboard equipment technology
Assist IT department in optimizing radio & wi-fi network performance
Input to daily and weekly plan regarding necessary network configuration for required mining areas to ensure coverage is achieved.
Liaison with controllers, operators, and mining supervisors to identify network performance issues and track field performance
Conduct network surveys in field to monitor coverage status
Related technology repairs.
Installing and repairing necessary network & communications equipment

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience working with field-based radio networks is preferred, (leaky feeder experience is a plus)
