In this role, you will work with blueprints, schematics, technical manuals and bulletins, National Bureau of Standards, manufacturers' specifications, oral and written instructions. You will be installing instrumentation, primarily strain gauges and thermocouples on all models of Boeing aircraft civilian, military and space. The incumbent will be working in varying temperatures of high heat in the summer and cold in the winter preforming the following tasks: • Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs and tests various types of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and related devices. • Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles to put equipment in operational condition and solve complex problems. • Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment. • Modifies circuitry to improve performance. • Makes recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems. • Provides operation and maintenance instruction to customer personnel. • Prepares operating and malfunction reports and related documentation. • Assists engineering staff in determining and solving equipment design problems. • May perform quality assurance testing of assemblies and equipment fabricated by other technicians. • May provide work leadership to less-experienced technicians. • Participates in special projects, as required. Summary/General Description Of Job: The incumbent is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and providing Safety inspections for all assigned utility/facility/area. Essential Duties & Job Functions: Assists in Implementing and maintaining the corporate safety program. Plans, organizes, and provides Safety inspections for all assigned utilities/facilities/areas. Identifies and works compliance issues as they apply to the functional operation of this contract. Implements and helps maintain the Safety Plans that are tailored to the contract and encompass all facets of the functional operation of the contract. Inspects work for discrepancies in accordance with the Safety plan and contract requirements. Conducts inspections of contract functions to ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Completes necessary inspection reports and documentation required to support findings. Focuses on maintaining a safety compliant workplace. Helps maintain the CMMS, its associated databases and update as required to provide for accurate reports regarding Safety status. Assists in developing & disseminating plans and procedures for the Safety programs and/or operating policies. Assists in reviewing site work to verify compliance in accordance with applicable plans, procedures, guides and regulations Assists in preparing incident reports and document analysis, cause/effect and actions taken (photos as required). Assists in monitoring the performance of subcontractors with respect to Safety. Assists in the development of a pollution prevention program (as required). Responds to emergency site maintenance as required or requested. LMR provides industrial support services across the Undersea Weapons Department (Code 30), Test and Evaluation Department (Code 20), Undersea Systems & Sustainment Department (Code 40) and Unmanned and Theater Undersea Warfare Systems Department (Code 50), of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division, Keyport (NUWCDIVKPT). Requirements include providing technical support services associated with various industrial operations, depot repair activities, and torpedo intermediate maintenance functions. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Engineer Technician I assembles and disassembles, repairs, cleans, and provides engineering and preventative maintenance to vehicle shells, buoys, and components in support of programs on the NUWCDIVKPT Industrial Support Services (ISS) contract. Location: Keyport, WA Job Description: Performs simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures. Work is checked in progress or on completion. Performs one or a combination of such typical duties as assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting. Be ready to cross-train across any engineering technician area in the ISS Contract including but not limited to Torpedo Depot and Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA) for 3-6 month rotations. Note some rotations will require full body PPE for extended periods of time. Rotation assignment is at the discretion of the coordinating Task Leads, the Deputy PM, and the PM.
