Summary Description:
The Industrial Electrical/ControlsTechnician provides plant-wide support for the selection, installation, programming, documentation, training and knowledge of plant industrial controls, including computer integration of PLC's, HMI's and process controls within the facility, training of end users on the operations of newly installed or modified process or control systems, and for standardization of control systems and control logic designs, documentation of operational procedures and as-built electrical drawings and logic. The Industrial electrical/ControlsTechnician is also the plant liaison for new system start up and commissioning by outside electrical and controls contractors and system integrators to ensure proper transfer of electrical red lines or updated electrical drawings and documented PLC programs changes and adequate training on the installation/changes that have been completed. The ICT is also responsible to keep control panels up to date and help rebuild when needed.
The Electrical portion includes, designing, implementing electrical changes or additions to the electrical infrastructure. It is also the objective to oversee the contracted work to assure it is designed and installed per LFC guidelines.
This position is also responsible to update the systems I/O list and create them if missing from the Document library.

Responsible for supporting customers' needs in addition to training, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing machine control systems and providing technical assistance with factory field control integration, Komatsu Smart Construction products, Topcon's aftermarket machine control products and other products related to machine control and technology
Machine ControlTechnician Essential Functions
Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
Installs, removes, troubleshoots, and repairs the grade control systems utilized in equipment sold, rented, and serviced
Coordinates grade control demonstrations with the internal sales force and customers
Provides product support and training during demonstrations in addition to after-sale support and training
Develops and maintains a complete working knowledge of the manufacturer's smart construction products as well as Topcon Grading Systems
Develops an awareness of the competition and competitive products and industry trends
Understands customer's overall equipment needs and identifies new areas of business opportunity
Sells equipment, parts, accessories, rentals, and service as a total customer solution and build long-term relationships within the territory to maximize customer and company profitability
Provides timely follow-up with customers and the sales team to ensure the best possible customer experience
Uses company systems and tools to document, track, follow up and capture all sales and product support activity in a timely and accurate manner
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Machine ControlTechnician Minimum Qualifications
High School Education or equivalent
Minimum two (2) years of experience with electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, or electrical
Ability to learn heavy equipment operation for the purpose of demonstration and training.
Knowledge of and experience with GPS products preferred
Experience in problem-solving technical issues preferred
Proficient with using computer networks, systems, and software
Land/Construction Surveying knowledge with the ability to utilize land/construction surveying equipment a plus
Ability to weld and knowledge/understanding of machine hydraulic systems a plus
Machine ControlTechnician Physical Requirements
Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance
Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold and/or wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors
Physical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours of time with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workday
Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition

Automation Technician
Lone Star Corporation is searching for a full time Automation Technician. The technician will be responsible for leading the implementation and maintenance of various automation installs in the Oil and Gas Industry. This position will primarily execute field installs of various automation instruments/transmitters as well as download, troubleshoot, and modify RTU and PLC configurations to fit the current need.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and conduct independent work to coordinate field labor with Automation and SCADA Engineers.
Understanding of P&IDs, electrical processes, and cause & effect matrix.
Implement and maintain remote communications equipment (900Mhz 5.8Ghz Radios, cell modems).
Regular monitoring of SCADA systems or other control systems to determine potential problems with field instruments or hardware
Calibration and verification of field instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assist Automation and SCADA engineers in troubleshooting of systems from the field.
Provide on-call support to various clients' automation and SCADA systems.
Skills & Experience Required
Controller Experience: RTU's, EFM's, VFD's, PLC Programming (Fisher ROC, Modicon, Idec, ScadaPack, Allen Bradley)
Instrumentation Experience: Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Level, Actuated Valves, etc.
Communication Protocols: TCP/IP, RS232 Serial, Modbus, HART

Moderate electrical skills: 120VAC, 12-24VDC
