    The purpose of this intermediate position is to "seek to bring forth and establish the cause of Zion.“ The Control Room Technician is a fully qualified individual contributor. Supports and maintains all Headquarter Facility environmental control systems to provide an environment that enhances the experience of customers and save energy. Pay range for this position is: $36.00 - $46.00/hr depending on experience and education. This position qualifies for the Sign-On Incentive and Bi-Annual Retention Incentive for new employees who fill positions that have been hard to fill and will be working within HQF Facility Maintenance. The retention incentive will be contingent upon the employee's continued employment with the HQF Facilities Maintenance Team during the specified period. For the new hire to receive the retention incentive, they must meet performance expectations throughout the program, determined by their manager during 1:1s and evaluations. Final decision will be approved by the Facilities Maintenance Manager, upon approval, Human Resources department will initiate the necessary steps to disburse the incentive in a timely and efficient manner. Sign-On Incentive $500 paid upon completion of the employee's first 2 weeks. Bi-Annual Retention Incentive $2,000 paid out over a period of 2 years structured as follows: $500 paid at end of the first 6 months. $500 paid at end of the first year. $1000 paid at end of the second year of employment. • 4+ years of experience with HVAC automation/controls, electronics, and pneumatics in a large campus setting. • Must have experience with one or more of the following systems: Honeywell, Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls. • Experience should include working with large, commercial building control systems programming, making technical adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairing. • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and sequence of operations. • Experience or understanding of network communications. • Must have a valid driver's license. • Must be able to understand English for general communication, video training, building security, and safety. Also, must be capable of understanding instructions verbally and in writing and can listen and ask clarifying questions as needed. • Must be able to work in a professional manner with others as well as alone without constant supervision. Must have a positive attitude with the ability to work as a team. Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolds, and mechanical lifts for extended periods. Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, push, and pull for extended periods of time. • Must have good eye-hand-foot coordination. • Must have stable, controlled hand movement. • Requires physical dexterity in limbs and digits to operate hand and power tools and equipment. • Must be able to independently lift objects weighing as much as 50 pounds on a regular basis. • Must be able to team lift objects weighing as much as 100 pounds on an occasional basis. • Must have at least 20/40 vision with or without corrective lenses and not less than 120 degrees combined horizontal peripheral vision. Preferred: • Have experience with the following programs Word, Excel, database management, graphical programming for mechanical equipment, and web browser configuration. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pipefitting trades • Program, commission, and manage mechanical equipment, system hardware, and instrumentation systems associated with Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Tridium Niagara Framework. • Coordinates with Energy management team to find ways to improve building efficiency. • Installs, troubleshoots, maintains, calibrates, and operates all control field hardware. • Troubleshoots, and maintains BMS computers, supervisor computers, servers, master controllers, field controllers, user databases, alarm banners, and trending and history databases. • Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains building communication field networks, and • Provide network troubleshooting and support for BMS devices. • Program, tune, and maintain environmental related equipment specific PLC controllers. • Trains other Control Technicians as requested by supervisor. • Manages control projects as assigned by supervisor. • Performs function testing and maintenance on all BMS, building environmental control and damper systems. • Performs other tasks as assigned by Management.

Proficiency with three-phase and single-phase motors, terminations, splicing, load calculations, ampacity, wire sizing, voltage drop, and overload protection.
