What You'll Need Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions. Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans. Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support). Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications. Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted. Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.). Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. The Electrical Installer will be responsible for providing basic hand tools as required to perform the daily tasks of the position. Uses strong troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software systems. Acts as “our customer's best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer's first choice for service. Communicates with and works with the other team members consistently to improve overall operations of the Convergint Center, and company. May advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques, and standards as well as suggestions for product improvements. Keeps up to date and informed on all company policies. Presents a professional image of Convergint at all times in appearance and behavior. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required. What You'll Need Strong knowledge of drive up, locking and electronic systems specific to banking industry. Strong knowledge of Digital Video Recorders (DVR's) and Network Video Recorders (NVR's) connected to the remote system. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
