This division encompassed datacenter and desktop client automation products spanning legacy HP solutions and the Opsware line of products (HP acquired Opsware for $1.6B in mid-2007).

Previously, Jancola was VP of Advanced Products and Technology at MidStream Technologies, Inc. The company provided highly specialized multi-gigabit video delivery servers and architectures for the transmission of on-demand rich media through cable and telco networks. Jancola led Product, Technology and Engineering activities.

Jancola began his career at Active Voice Corporation, where he held multiple positions over a ten year period. Active Voice was the world’s leader in delivering products that capitalized on the convergence of voice and data networks including messaging, call control, and VoIP solutions. Active Voice was acquired by Cisco Systems where Jancola served as Director of Engineering for the Enterprise Communications Software BU within Cisco’s Voice Technology Group.

Jancola holds an MBA and BSEE from the University of Washington. He is a regular guest lecturer UW and speaker at industry / technical conferences.
