Responsibilities:
Serve meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance and in accordance with established portion control procedures on a timely basis
Inspect diet trays; work with the facility dietician and process diet change received from Nursing Services
Coordinate food service with other departments
Ensure that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available
Ensure that menus are maintained and reviewed prior to preparation of food
Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older
High-School diploma or equivalent
Experience in Assisted Living or other related Health Care Community
Must have a food handlers' card

POSITION SUMMARY: A Cook at one of Oxford's luxury or boutique-style hotels is responsible for preparing consistently high-quality, flavorful, and visually appealing meals that contribute to an exceptional dining experience. This role plays a key part in executing menu items, maintaining proper food handling and preparation practices, and ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The Cook plays a key role in striving to meet and exceed Four-Star service standards delivering high-quality service and amenities with strong attention to detail, ensuring excellence in every guest interaction, and consistently exceeding expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture at all times.
Food and Beverage Preparation (85%):
Cook, set up and prepare food on the cooklineCook and plate meals for restaurant, banquet, and in-room dining service with attention to consistency, portion sizes, temperature, and presentation
Assist with menu preparation and execution, including seasonal specials and banquet menus
Assist with food service throughout banquet functions as needed ensure quality of service and product
Clean kitchen and restaurant as needed, including washing dishes in the absence of a dishwasher, sanitize all food-contact areas multiple times throughout the day
Assist with ordering of food, receive food and supply shipments
Wash dishes as needed in the absence of a dishwasher.
Ensure that food quality meets expectations including plating and visual appearance
Perform all tasks in compliance with federal, state, local, food safety and sanitation requirements and Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards and security procedures. Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations. Report any maintenance repairs needed immediately to their supervisor or General Manager.
Guest Relations (10%):
Always provide a high level of customer service, taking time with our guests to ensure every aspect of their stay is up to expectations
Interact with front of the house employees as to changes and requests of guests
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
Maintain integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with both internal and external guest exchanges
Other (5%):

Complete a daily activity log with pertinent shift information for co-workers and leadership team
