We are seeking a part time prep cook / dishwasher to start as soon as possible. This is a perfect job for students, retired food service people, culinary interns, or anyone looking for some extra hours! Ideal candidate has a desire to learn about food preparation, can stand on their feet for long periods of time and take pride in a job well-done: whether it be in serving meals, assisting with food prep, doing the dishes or kitchen clean-up. We will provide training. Morning shift starts at 7 am and will end between 11am and 1pm. Evening shift is 4pm - 9pm. Rate of pay starts at $17 per hour and meals during shifts. This position will work under the direction of the Kitchen Manager. Daily tasks will include assistance with meal preparation, washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, sweeping and mopping of dining room and kitchen floors, general dining room set-up/clean-up, and trash removal. Candidate should have a friendly demeanor as they will interact with other kitchen personnel and various large groups ranging from school children to adults who attend programming at Cal-Wood.
