Summary:

The Laboratory Phlebotomist performs positive patient identification and collection of various laboratory specimens on inpatients and outpatients, as needed. Receives specimens into the lab reception area, inputs specimen information into the laboratory information system and requests patient registration as necessary. Cook Children's Department of Pediatric Anesthesiology is seeking a pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist to join our well-established cardiac anesthesia team at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Cook Children's is a tertiary care children's hospital with a high-volume cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology program.
The prospective candidate will provide anesthesia care for a broad spectrum of congenital and acquired cardiac conditions, supporting surgical, interventional catheterization, and advanced imaging services. Our cardiac program is supported by a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
Fellowship training in pediatric cardiac anesthesia is preferred, although candidates with several years of dedicated experience in the field will be considered. Board certification in anesthesiology, and subspecialty certification in pediatric anesthesia is required. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and high quality patient care.
In 2024 the Heart Center at Cook Children's performed approximately 475 cardiothoracic surgeries and over 600 caths. We conduct 12,500 outpatient visits and perform 15,000 echos annually. Our Heart Center 3D Lab provides in-house printing and virtual planning for patients with complex congenital heart disease
Qualifications:
• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required.
• American Heart Association BLS and PALS.
