Purpose of the Position
Prepare, prioritize and execute recipes in accordance with established policies and procedures. This is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the Kitchen Manager and indirectly to others in management.
Essential Job Functions
* Interact with co-workers in a friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner (i.e., a warm smile and sincere greeting)
* Regular attendance and compliance with employee handbook and training manuals
* Understand and executes highlighted production sheets in order of priority
* Execute all recipes to the letter in a timely manner according to Eureka's standards
* Maintain and deliver all "backups" at proper temperature to appropriate area
* Operate kitchen equipment in a safe and efficient manner
* Maintain clean and dry building
* Maintain sanitary prep areas
* Clean and organize walk-in, dry storage and freezer on a regular basis
* Label, date and rotate all prepped items in accordance with Eureka's Shelf Life specifications
* Maintain adequate product par levels
* Organize daily deliveries in proper storage areas
* Assist Dish station and Line functions, when needed
