Job duties as follow:
Cooking of meals: Breakfast and Dinner
Do all refrigerator temps
Put clean water mugs on cart
Prepare and clean up after breakfast
Do next day salads and desserts for dinner and supper
Prepare and clean up after dinner
Do as much prep work for supper as possible
Empty sanitizer at end of shift
Take out garbage at end of shift
Wipe down appliances, drawer fronts and table tops
Bake something for snacks and activities as needed
Clean and sanitize carts daily
Don't leave dirt dishes for next shift
Get water mugs and snack cart ready for 9 AM and 2PM
Pull meat, etc. out of freezer and put in walk in for next 3 days menu
Make sure supplies are available for next day and next shift
Get cleaning supplies for caregivers as needed
Help serve meals
All prep that is needed for next days menu
Get kitchen supplies for each dining room as needed
Any extra cleaning that can be done
6 hour PM shifts, 8 hour AM shifts, and 12-13 hour (AM into PM) kitchen shifts available with the option to fill other hours in housekeeping daily or in the evening if interested. Hours just in housekeeping available as well.

Utilizing products and supplies according to First in First Out concept and monitoring inventory control, reporting any concerns to the Head Chef.
Performing kitchen and dining room cleanup duties after meals to ensure optimal infection control.
Maintaining an organized and sanitary dish washing area and operating the dish washing machine to properly wash and sanitize all dishes, silverware, glasses, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Keeping worktables, sinks, and floors neat and clean as you go, as well as emptying the trash can accordingly and at the end of each shift.
Putting food and supplies away after delivery following established rotation policy and procedure (first in first out).
Assisting fellow team members in maintaining a clean, homelike environment that is free from hazards by tidying up spaces, cleaning up after residents, and ensuring that they always look presentable.
Reviewing resident Diet Type in electronic medical record.
Completing proper documentation in electronic medical record.
Attending all mandatory staff in-services.
Showing up for work on time and following the appropriate call-in procedure when necessary.
Maintaining a high standard, professional dress attire and communication.
Following rules and regulations outlined in DHS 83 and CSL Policies and Procedures that are not specifically outlined above.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
2+ years cooking experience required, with a background in commercial cooking (and emphasis in from-scratch preparation) preferred.
