Job Summary and Qualifications
Under close direction of the Dietary Director, performs job after receiving detailed instructions. Prepares & serves all hot food items for breakfast & lunch (a.m. cook), evening meal (p.m. cook) for patients and cafeteria patrons. Maintains a high standard of food handling. Directs the activities of the dietary employees as directed by the Dietary Director. Performs specific cleaning assignments as written and/or assigned by the Dietary Director. Responsible for baking. Special functions & other duties as assigned by the Dietary Director.
What qualifications you will need:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Must have the ability to read and write English language
One (1) to three (3) years of experience institutional food service preferred
Knowledge & use of standardized recipes, therapeutic diet preparation & supervisory skills preferred

Position Description
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing menu items according to company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. In addition, you will perform all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and a quality work environment as directed Kitchen Manager or Manager on Duty.
