Baristas offer high-quality coffee products and customer service to students, staff, faculty, and the general public, but they also learn valuable skills and gain hands-on experience while working on campus. Baristas serve as members of the Student Union staff and can be cross-trained on Information Desk duties. Prior work experience as a barista, in customer service, and in sales and cash handling is preferred but not required of candidates for this position. This student staff position is 10-15 hours/week and starts at $11.88/hour. Preference will be given to students with flexible hours and availability to meet scheduling needs: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. To thrive in this role a successful candidate would have prior work experience as a barista and prior customer service experience. Prior sales and cash handling experience would also be beneficial.
