Duties/Responsibilities:
Creating Drinks
Drink creation entails re-creating menu products for customer orders. In order to do this, the barista will need to be skilled in dialing-in and tasting espresso, steaming milk, latte art, creating pour overs, multi-tasking multiple orders, and serving drink products to customers
Customer Service
The barista will influence the culture of Matchhead by providing excellent “above and beyond” customer service. This includes interacting in a positive way with guests, seeing and fulfilling guest needs, and creating an environment that encourages guest regularity. In addition, baristas must be trained to answer customer questions regarding Radiant/Match Head and exemplify the love of Jesus through excellence in their attitude and work.
Opening & Closing Duties
Includes (but is not limited to) being a key holder at Matchhead, opening the shop and completing all required opening duties (counting the drawer, dialing in espresso, preparing batch coffee, preparing the bar), and closing the shop (completing closing cleaning list, cleaning the espresso machine, counting the drawer, thoroughly cleaning the bar).
Cleaning & POS Duties
Includes (but is not limited to) keeping the shop in excellent condition by performing thorough daily cleaning (sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, clearing and cleaning tables, keeping the bar clean, cleaning grinders/espresso machines, and doing dishes). POS duties include counting the drawer at opening and closing, competence in Square and its functions, and competent cash handling.
