Below is a general outline of some of the roles and responsibilities expected of our Team Members (this list is not all inclusive):
Primary Responsibilities:
Managing the cash register throughout the shift, ensuring the money stays balanced and customers are assisted in a fast and accurate manner
Stocking products on shelves and making sure the store looks clean and professional at all times
Ensuring prompt, efficient and courteous customer service to store customers, vendors, and staff at all times
Maintaining a clean, customer friendly environment in the store and surrounding property
Troubleshooting and resolving car wash related issues as needed
Preparing shift reports at the end of the shifts as per company guidelines
Crossing and upselling store products and sales to assist in increasing store sales
Escalating all high-priority issues to their immediate manager
Additional duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed
Communicate verbally and in writing with various management on store operations in a quick timeline, especially if there are any changes or items that may adversely affect the store's operations
Ability to read, understand, and write in the English language
Perform basic math including proper calculation of change, etc.
Have the ability to validate identification prior to selling tobacco and/or alcohol (as required under applicable laws and regulations)
Can lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb ladders as needed
Ability to remain calm and respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures defined by company guidelines
Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
Ability to work in various temperature environments (coolers, outside in various weather conditions, and in the station)

Employees that are with us for 3 years to 5 years = 0.30 cents off a gallon of fuel

The role they play in the morale of the ship is very important. CSs are needed on every ship and shore base in the Navy. Navy Culinary Specialists provide food service catering for admirals and senior government executives and operate the White House Mess for the President of the United States.
Responsibilities
The duties performed by Culinary Specialists include:
Preparing menus and ordering the quantities and types of food items necessary to prepare meals.
Operating kitchen and dining facilities.
Maintaining subsistence inventories and financial records.
Serving as personal food service specialists in commanding officers and admirals messes.
Operating and managing shipboard living quarters and shore-based hotel-type quarters.
Serving as a flight attendant aircrewman.
What to Expect
Culinary Specialists work in kitchens, dining areas, living quarters, and food service storerooms aboard ships and shore bases. The work is both physically and mentally challenging and involves working as part of a team.
Work Environment
CSs spend approximately 60% of their time assigned to fleet units and 40% to shore stations over a 20-year career. Their work environments include shipboard galleys, mess decks, and

Training & Advancement
After completing Recruit Training, CSs attend a seven-week A school in Fort Lee, VA, where they learn food preparation, nutrition, and dining service. Placement and advancement opportunities are excellent for qualified applicants. Advanced technical and operational training is available later in their careers.
Education Opportunities
CSs can earn college credits through the American Council on Education for courses taken in this rating. Additionally, the United States Naval Community College (USNCC) offers degree
programs, including a Naval Studies Certificate, that contribute toward an associate degree. These programs support professional development and educational advancement. CSs may also take advantage of voluntary education programs such as the Navy College Program, Tuition Assistance, and the Post-9/11 GI Bill to further their education while serving.

American Conservation Experience, a non-profit conservation corps with a divisional branches in Sacramento, CA, Palm Springs/Coachella Valley, CA and Ridgecrest, CA, are looking for members to come join our team of young adults serving on meaningful conservation projects throughout the Pacific West. Our mission is to introduce and prepare our AmeriCorps members for careers in resource management within the conservation corps industry or with public agencies such as California State Parks, US Forest Service, National Park Service, National Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, as well as many other local and non-profit land steward organizations. ACE Pacific West crews serve in Yosemite National Park, Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park, Death Valley National Park, on the Pacific Crest Trail, in coastal State Parks, on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, and in numerous other inspiring locations. This opportunity is intended for those looking to learn valuable skills for their career while immersed in a community of like-minded young professionals from around the country. Members typically serve for 13 or 26 weeks on projects including ecological restoration, habitat improvement, and trail maintenance and construction, all while completing a term of AmeriCorps service. While serving, members typically have 3-6 days off between each project to enjoy California's abundant beauty and recreational opportunities with their friends and colleagues. Projects take place throughout California and the Pacific West
Schedule: Project schedules vary greatly, but typically members serve 8 days on/ 6 days off or 4 days on/ 3 days off. For remote projects, members spend off-days nearer to their project location. Remote projects often last multiple project schedule cycles.
Benefits: Member compensation and benefits include a package valued at over $1,700/mo.
Members will receive a Living Allowance of $400/week, paid bi-weekly.
Members obtain an Education Award for the amount of $1,956.35 (for 13 weeks) or $3,697.50 (for 26 weeks) upon successful completion of service.
ACE provides members with food during all project days; members are responsible for providing their own food on off-days.
ACE provides members with free housing during their term of service. When working in or near the Pacific West Division, members spend off days in our hostel-style housing in Sacramento, CA. When working remotely, members will be provided tents and campsites in those remote locations. The member will provide their own blankets/pillow/sleeping bag/towels.
AmeriCorps members may also be eligible for qualifying child care coverage and federal loan forbearance. Additional enrollment steps are required.
Gear: ACE provides each member their own tent. The member will provide their own sleeping bag, sleeping pad, rain gear, and hiking boots. Upon acceptance to the program, members will receive a more extensive packing list. Weather can be highly variable, so plan on bringing layers of warm clothing and adequate rain gear.
Members will have access to deeply discounted Pro Deals via Outdoor Prolink once they are offered and accept a position, and will have the opportunity to purchase discounted gear prior to their arrival.
Travel: ACE provides transportation to and from worksites; personal vehicles are not necessary throughout the member's term of service. ACE does not provide relocation assistance.
Position Description:
Members serve in professionally supervised teams as they explore future outdoor careers, learn practical field skills, and develop confidence as emerging leaders in the field of conservation. Members are afforded opportunities to learn and train under the guidance of professional mentors within ACE, while gaining invaluable career perspectives working alongside staff from the National Park Service, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and many other stewards of our nation's public lands.
Field work and additional responsibilities might include but are not limited to:
Habitat restoration
Trail construction and maintenance
Dry and wet stone masonry
Reforestation
Forest thinning
Plant identification
Fencing
Invasive species removal
Swamping
Members get experience with, or in conjunction with, the following tools and equipment, depending on their level of training:
Trail Maintenance: Pick mattocks, Pulaskis, shovels, single/double jacks, McLeods, single bit axes, rock bars, chisels, crosscut saws, and griphoists.
Restoration Equipment: Herbicide backpack sprayers, spray bottles, GPS units, and measuring tools.
Power Tools and Gas Powered Equipment: Chainsaws, brush-cutters, drills, saws, and compressors.
Qualifications: Applicants should be prepared to perform physically challenging labor on environmental and conservation projects for 10 hours a day. Applicants should expect to hike extended distances on rough terrain carrying backpacks, tools, and equipment, and be prepared to spend 8 consecutive days in the field, on each project. Members will work in a variety of weather conditions such as temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, high winds, intense sunshine, rain, and snow.
Required:

Able and willing to work in a group
Able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and capable of hiking moderate distances in somewhat rough terrain during inclement weather conditions
Willingness to undergo and must pass a required [three-part criminal history check / two-part criminal history check]

Preferred:
Experience in hiking and navigation in steep terrain

Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, hiking, carrying, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. Manual dexterity required for use of various tools or equipment. Required to stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and/or crouch. Ability to hike over rough terrain, and camp overnight under field conditions.

Close, distance, peripheral and depth perception vision as well as the ability to focus may be required.

: Frequently moves up to 25 lbs., ability to move up to 60 pounds.
Environmental:
Outdoor and indoor conditions. Work environment conditions can change frequently; working under adverse weather conditions and in various climates.

: Moderate to high noise such gas-powered chainsaws and other hand and power tools.
Travel:
This position requires domestic travel.
Environmental Conditions/Hazards: The ACE member(s) may encounter environmental conditions/hazards including extreme heat or cold, rocky terrain, swamp or wetland conditions, biting insects, and potentially dangerous wildlife. The member is expected to conduct duties in a safe and orderly manner so as not to endanger self, fellow staff/members or resources.
