Our first location in downtown San Jose is next to the convention center and several concert venues. During non-COVID times, we've had the opportunity to serve Steve Kerr, Elie Goulding, San Holo, Freddie Wong, Jimmy Wong, members of Wong Fu, and Quest Krew. You never know who's gonna come through the store.
We have a simple menu: vermicelli bowls, rice bowls, salads, and banh mi sandwiches. Items are prepared line-style and customized to the customer's liking. Think Vietnamese Chipotle.
We pride ourselves on serving up authentic Vietnamese food, and it makes us especially happy when we serve it up to customers who have never had Vietnamese food people.
The ideal candidate is someone who likes good food and can provide good customer service. We have a lot of repeat customers and our number one priority is to make sure they are happy and that we are able to create new repeat customers.
Once hired, you will be cross-trained on different roles including grill, line, prep, and cashier. The job is never boring as you have multiple roles.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand: company policies, procedures, steps of service, morale initiatives etc.
Maintain consistency: ensure that consistent products are served and that consistent service is delivered to customers.
Create Repeat Customers: build rapport and develop relationships with customers with friendly communication
Maintain standards: comply with workplace safety. Ensure superior cleanliness of restaurant and adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Prep: you will learn to prep vegetable toppings by slicing, peeling, chopping, juicing, and shredding.
Cater: you will learn how to prepare meals in large quantities for corporate catering orders
Grill: you will learn how to grill and cut all of our proteins and stir-fry our tofu
You will learn how to assemble bowls and sandwiches and customize them for customers

The work is mixed between litter removal and travel from cleaning spots
We have a pickup spot that we meet at every morning and then we handle all the transportation
Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older and able to lift up to 20lbs independently
Have reliable transportation and be able to attend scheduled shifts
Walk several miles at a time and be on their feet for the majority of their shift
