Responsibilities

Receives verbal orders from the front counter staff for food product requirements for guest orders.
Responsible for maintaining quality and production standards on all menu items. Food must be fresh and of high quality when served to the guests.
Responsible for portion control and serving temperatures of all products served in the concession stand.
Responsible for cleaning, stocking and restocking of workstations and displays.
Responsible for operating large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers and ovens.
Ensures that all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils are clean and put away and floor is swept and mopped at end of shift. The Cook must be checked out before ending the shift by the Floor Supervisor to ensure the concession stand meets cleanliness standards.

As a Cook you will be responsible for preparing menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. A Cook must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Portion control, food waste and sanitation are additional areas that Cook must be aware of while operating in the kitchen and culinary areas.
This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00-$18.00

The Anderson Family Football Complex is a state-of-the-art training facility for the University of Kansas football team. Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and kitchen guidelines.
* Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Assist with food prep, cooking, plating, and presentation during service.
* Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste.
* Follow food safety protocols, including proper handling of allergens and dietary restrictions.
* Assist in setting up and breaking down the kitchen for events and daily operations.
* Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance or repair needs.
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and sanitation standards.
* Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
Qualifications
* 1+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, restaurant, catering, or event venue preferred.
* Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food prep, and kitchen safety standards.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the event schedule.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
* Food Handler's Certification (or ability to obtain upon hiring).

TITLE: Food Service Substitute
SALARY: $10.00/hour
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 months/year
*This is an on-call position, so hours will vary. This position gives you the opportunity to have a flexible schedule.
REPORTS TO: Food Service Site Manager
JOB GOAL: To prepare and serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and cooperation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
2. Must be able to read and interpret instructions on recipes.
3. Assume responsibility for seeing to it that during meal service periods the supply of foods offered is replenished regularly.
4. Assist in the daily clean-up of the kitchen and service areas.
5. Perform major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the site manager.
6. Assume responsibility for storage, labeling, and disposal of unused foods after recording.
7. Adhere to the dress code established by each food service site manager.
8. Must be able to work on feet for at least six hours daily and must be able to lift fifty pounds to carry short distances.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Site Manager.

18. Lifting pans with prepared food items to serving line or from counter to ovens from a height of 36 inches to 36 inches. Average pan weighted 40 lbs these tasks are perform 5-6 times per workday. Occasional level.
19. Reaching to height of 73 inches to hang utensils and to reach supplies. Workers will reach for the utensils at the beginning of the shift and reach to that height to put them away for the day.
20. Push/pull food carts at a push/pull force of 30 lbs for a distance of 50 feet. 3-4 times per shift.
21. Push/pull, horizontal and vertical, in the bakery area downward vertical pull of 100 lb at the height of 66 inches for the press and a horizontal pull of 10 lb to pull pot from blender to workstation 3 feet. This task is performed 1-2 times the day bread items are made. This task is rare due to this is done 1-2 times a week.
