Chan School of Public Health and has written case studies on surgical quality for the school to use as part of their curriculum. Dr. Ellner has appeared live on the Today Show, Larry King Live, NBC CT 30, NPR and has had articles in the CT Mirror, the Hartford Courant, the Wall Street Journal, Hartford Magazine, Hartford Business Journal, the HFMA e-Bulletin, Outpatient Surgery Magazine, Becker's Clinical Review, the American College of Surgeons Bulletin and the AHA Hospital and Health Networks Online Magazine for patient safety and health care quality improvement.

As president and chief executive officer, Bill Gassen is leading efforts to tackle some of medicine’s most challenging issues, including the state of global health, breast cancer, pediatric rare diseases and type 1 diabetes.
