The Associate Dean for Information Assets plays a strategic leadership role in managing the library's physical and digital collections to support the institution's research, teaching, and learning missions. The position ensures that collections and services are aligned with academic priorities, facilitates discovery and access of library materials, and supports digitization initiatives aimed at preserving and expanding access to unique and historical materials. The role also encompasses scholarly communication, including support for open access publishing and institutional repositories, and ensures that technical services workflows are efficient, innovative and responsive to evolving user needs. The AD will stay abreast of trends in scholarly communications and technical services within the library profession, particularly as they relate to supporting teaching and research in higher education.
