What you will do:
Prepares patients and equipment for EEG procedure
Operate equipment to record electrical activity of the brain during the procedure

Performs standard and complex eletroencephalographic recordings and evoked potentials in a manner consistent with the standards of care, objectives, and procedures of the EEG Laboratory and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
Assures availability and proper function of supplies and equipment
Assembles and adjusts equipment
Cleans, replenishes, and maintains instruments and supplies as needed

EEG Pathway 3: Associates degree with 1 year of experience with documented proficiency working towards R. EEG T.

Job Description
AUTHORITY:
The Lab Supervisor receives sufficient authority from, and is accountable to the Operations Manager or appointed designate for the successful completion of assigned duties and responsibilities and has the authority to take action necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position and to identify the occurrence of departures from the quality system or from the procedures for performing tests and/or calibrations, so long as such action does not deviate from established company guidelines, is consistent with sound technical and business judgment, and follows the practices of the laboratory.
OVERALL OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Provide leadership for all producer testing operations and reporting.
Design and use appropriate quality measures, which meet or exceed the standards, set by ISO/IEC 17025, government regulations, client expectations, and company requirements, when performing assigned tasks.
Promote the company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as related to the public and our customers.
Ensure all NCIMS documentation is current and accurate.
SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS
:
Verify that all samples are handled, stored and tested in a manner that maintains sample integrity at all times.
Direct all activities in the producer testing lab to assure that all samples are processed accurately and in an efficient manner. Verify that all results are accurate and are communicated to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Monitor supply levels and order as necessary to facilitate the efficient operation of all testing activities.
Ensure equipment is maintained and repaired as needed. Communicate with both internal and external support personnel as needed.
Maintain a comprehensive PM program on all producer testing equipment to assure that all equipment is performing accurately and efficiently at all times.
Assist Client Service, Technical Service and Quality in providing resolutions to problems with any and all test results, as needed.
Perform or direct all daily, weekly and monthly calibration of equipment to maintain accuracy in testing.
Work with the Safety Coordinator, verify that all accident investigations have been completed fully and correctly. Communicate all accident investigation findings to the appropriate Management and/or Supervisory personnel.
Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Test Methods.
Communicate clearly and concisely with clients, management, coworkers, and staff both orally and in writing. Delegate responsibilities to employees in a manner that ensures they understand their tasks and roles.
Plan resource allocation so that due dates required by clients are met.
Review applications, conduct interviews, and make hiring decisions for positions reporting to this position.
Administer, direct, and document the training of assigned staff on job functions, the Quality Manual, SOPs, IMS regulatory requirements, and laboratory policies/procedures applicable to area of responsibility; meet regularly with staff to ensure that proper information flows in both directions and that personnel adhere to these requirements on an ongoing basis.
Conduct annual performance reviews for personnel that report to this position.
Evaluate and approve or reject prospective and in-progress non-conformances (as exceptions) to standards (policies, procedures, etc.); investigate to determine the cause of retrospective non-conformance, determine and implement corrective action; follow-up to ensure that the corrective action resolved the problem.
Assist in developing Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) relative to assigned responsibilities and implement SOPs that apply to area of responsibility.
Maintain an orderly, clean and safe work area and assist others in maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Follow Eurofins DQCI guidelines and procedures.
Maintain a perpetual state of readiness and willingness to respond to the queries and needs of clients, staff, and coworkers.
Adhere to all pertinent company health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required: College degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Required: Five (5) or more years experience in an equivalent Food or Dairy Laboratory Services Industry.
Preferred: Two (2) to Three (3) years of experience in a leadership role.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Must possess a wide range of knowledge related to the Dairy Testing Industry.
Must be able to communicate oral and written information clearly, concisely, logically and with confidence.
Must have excellent organizational, and time management skills.
Must have the ability and the desire to work cooperatively and effectively in a team based organization.
