Pros of working at Cooper Tire & Rubber

Friendly people over the years and enough money to pay my bills.

Cons of working at Cooper Tire & Rubber

I've been here 25 years and it has gone so far downhill. The union is worthless and in 2020 was able to secure older employers a whopping 15 cents per year. It was a joke and honestly If something doesn't change more people will leave. So many people with 20!or more years have left for Ball metal and we barely make more than some Japanese plants in town. We literally can not keep up with inflation and the union does not do anything but help the people who don't deserve to be there. You see all these unions getting there employees 10 and 20 percent raises and I literally make 60 cents more than I did 4 years ago and it is pathetic. I'm 50 and I'm still applying at other places because for as dangerous as a place to work and all the chemicals that are in the air we are being severely severely severely underpaid and that is many, many thanks to our union

Cooper Tire & Rubber benefits

Pros of working at Cooper Tire & Rubber

It's a job that's all I can say. We need to be paid more in the warehouse. It's hard for them to retain workers due to hourly wages being so low.

Cons of working at Cooper Tire & Rubber

The warehouse workers do not get bonuses like the workers in the plant. And we are the ones who ship all the tires and pull the orders. And also we have to work overtime to make a little extra money. If you work 7 days a week If you lucky the state takes over 400.00 in taxes so it's not worth it. Plus it's 12 hour shifts with no breaks only 30 minute lunch. Very low hourly wage. Very high prices medical coverage and extremely high deductible has to be paid before you can be covered by insurance. So if you or your kids get sick. You have to pay bill out of pocket that you can't afford. But they taking medical cost out your check.
