Short Description
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients' activities of daily living and plan of care. Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient's family or significant other(s). Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.

Pavilion 5 is a 30-bed med-surg unit with a focus on oncology patients. Our unit provides compassionate, cutting-edge care for patients battling cancer. We are proud to be among the select facilities offering Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes (TIL) therapy, a revolutionary form of immunotherapy and in our ongoing commitment to providing state-of-the-art treatments, we are preparing to introduce stem cell transplant capabilities.

As an integral part of the patientcare team, the PatientCareTechnician performs direct and indirect patientcare functions under the supervision of appropriately licensed personnel. Short Description
The PatientCareTechnician provides patientcare under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Key responsibilities include observing and reporting patient condition changes, assisting with daily living activities (such as meals and bathing), recording vital signs, measuring fluid intake/output, collecting specimens, and transporting patients within the hospital. They also perform one-on-one monitoring with documentation, demonstrate computer skills, follow physician orders, and use the internal paging and patient call systems. Additional tasks are assigned as needed.
Experience Required
Previous PatientCareTechnician or Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
Education Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent.
License/Certification Requirements
American Heart Association, (AHA) CPR (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
