Short Description Assists the Clinical team in providing indirect patient care, plus has nonpatient care responsibilities to include but not limited to: Room turnover: includes taking out the trash, cleaning all areas of the OR, including the OR table, making the table up, and mopping the floor Gathering equipment, supplies, and instrumentation for surgical cases Changing OR tables when necessary Room set up: setting up the entire OR room for the next case or first case of the day; this includes making the bed, having necessary equipment in the room positioned appropriately for the case Taking specimens to the lab Take returns to CSP and put returns away that live in the OR upstairs. PCT will be on your feet, the entire shift, so comfortable, supportive footwear is needed. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) Apprenticeship Program Educator assesses prior student knowledge, delivers didactic education using active learning and possibly blended learning methodologies, instructs in skills, and validates knowledge and competency. Checks inventory of assigned area and restocks as directed. Ensures the room environment is prepared for admission.
