Full-time Description
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The Education Coordinator serves a variety of functions in a hospital setting. They evaluate educational needs, set educational goals, develop, update, incorporate, and implement both non-clinical and clinical educational programs that meet hospital accreditation requirements and improve medical practices for patients' safety and well-being. The Education Coordinator is also responsible for developing a curriculum to satisfy continuing education requirements for other medical personnel.
This is a full-time benefited position working 80 hours per two week pay period. The hours are Monday - Friday.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Quality
Collaborates with administration and department leaders to plan and implement educational programs on all shifts to meet the goals and objectives of JRMC.
Performs annual educational needs assessment and creates annual strategic educational plan per state regulations for employees including educational needs identified by leadership and all relevant quality improvement activities.
Responsible for the learning management system including the design and production of learning modules for organization wide annual learning. Coordinate annual learning along with assisting leaders in the creation of new learning tools and resources within the learning management software.
Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure Education Policy is current and accurately reflects coursework requirement for clinical and non-clinical employees.
Participate in appropriate committees and collaborates to promote a high standard of care by licensed and non-licensed employees.
Identifies opportunities for education to support all quality initiatives.
Continually investigate methods for improving patient care.
Participates in developing, maintaining and updating written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the facility with regards to employee education.
Provides for communication of policy, procedure and other appropriate changes to employees and gathers feedback from employees within the unit.
Service
Collaborates with an interprofessional team to solve problems and change processes to improve function and quality of patient care and support systems.
Collaborates with the Medical Center Educator to provide support and resources for the execution of JRMC's orientation/onboarding, precepting, and nurse residency programs.
People
Uses adult education principles and instructional design to provide an effective and efficient system of employee education.
Develops, coordinates and facilitates competencies at JRMC for all providers.
Develops, coordinates and/or facilitates in organizational and educational programs, including but not limited to, skill labs, Aspire, and trainings from external entities
Coordinates and organizes JRMC-led BLS, CPR, ACLS, PALS, NRP and CPI for direct care employees as required; may be trained in as an instructor in these certifications.
Facilitates or provides training to additional instructors of certification classes.
Maintains JRMC's training site status for CPR, ACLS, PALS; coordinated with University of Jamestown and Anne Carlsen Center for certification partnership trainings
Organizes, coordinates, and facilitates the Emerging Leaders program, ensuring smooth execution, participant engagement, and alignment with succession planning goals.
Provides support to senior administration in the planning and execution of the Leadership Residency program, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with organizational objectives.
Serves as an Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) champion by promoting and facilitating the integration of research-driven methods into clinical and organizational practices.
Coordinates with the medical center educator and preceptor to review and develop training plans based on self-assessment conducted with a new hire, as designated.
Finance
Collaborates with supervisory leader in developing budget for the Education department needs.
Provides oversight of the mentoring program, ensuring effective matching, ongoing support, and program success.
Growth
Drives increased participation and engagement by leveraging technology to deliver innovative, interactive learning methods such as simulation and e-learning.
Fosters collaboration and partnership with external entities to broaden educational opportunities
Other
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS OF JOB POSITION
Preparation & Training Minimum - Baccalaureate degree in healthcare field, leadership, or education. (If a degree is in Nursing, must hold ND Board of Nursing RN licensure) with at least 1 year of educational experience. Preferred The minimum qualifications and master's degree in healthcare field, leadership and/or education. Position is required to attend Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training in the appropriate timeframe according to department orientation checklist. Estimated time to achieve full job competency: 3 to 6 months after orientation to the work area.
Work Experience - Minimum of three years' experience in the healthcare field or in planning, coordinating, and delivering impactful educational programs. Preferred: The minimum work experience noted above and knowledge of Joint Commission standards. Must be computer proficient, including skills in Microsoft Office. Exhibits strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrates flexibility by adapting approach to suit varying situations and changing needs.Demonstrates excellent communication skills, conveying information clearly and professionally in both verbal and written forms while effectively collaborating with diverse teams and individuals. Able to consistently apply creativity, insight, integrity, and initiative to solve problems and drive positive outcomes while encouraging and supporting team building through effective conflict resolution and problem-solving
Attendance - Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at JRMC. Employee are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working. Employees are also expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule.

Mental/Visual Effort - Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner. Must demonstrate physical and emotional ability to meet agreed upon work schedule and performance standards required by the position. Required duties are such that concentrated attention must be applied on demand consistent with manual skill requirements in situations that may at times be stressful. Visual acuity necessary. Frequently engages in visual tasks, including prolonged computer use and presenting information to groups.
Working Conditions- OSHA job classification: Category I. The employee does have exposure to bloodborne pathogens. The employee may have exposure to blood borne pathogens. Position may require occasional exposure to patients with infectious disease(s). Must practice aseptic techniques and observe Standard Precautions. Participates in and complies with Jamestown Regional Medical Center Safety Management program. Work environment is a shared office space with other employees. Position is subject to frequent interruptions. Work may be on weekends and holidays; beyond normal working hours and/or temporarily in other positions when necessary.

The Coordinator assists with developing partnerships and works to maintain and grow those partnerships.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities Include:
Recruits qualified prospective students and applicants for admission and enrollment within an assigned territory and achieves determined recruitment goals. Ensures each potential student receives a high level of customer service which includes verbal and written communication through phone call, email, text and personal visits. Records a summary of each contact within the Slate system. Assists prospective students with application process, including the exploration of degree options, and works with student success advisors through the students' start of classes
Assists with developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with new and existing businesses and other organizations as assigned and within a market segment or geographic region with the primary goal of enrollment
Assist with inquiry generation strategy and implementation, including planning and conducting of recruitment events
Attends and actively participate in admission staff meetings, training programs, and planning retreats
Provides input regarding the development of department goals and strategic plan
Desired Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience include:
Required: Bachelor's degree with a successful experience in customer service, recruitment, or sales.
Preferred: Four years of sales and/or business to business marketing experience
Upholds and supports the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary
Supports the ongoing implementation of
Ex Corde Ecclesiae
, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Experience with establishing and maintaining client/prospect relationships throughout the community

Ability to work independently with flexible schedules and travel throughout western North Dakota
Possess a valid driver's license

What You'll Do:
Maintain integrity of the PLC automation servers and PLC processors.
Troubleshoot and modify ladder logic programs on Allen Bradley processors using RSLogix 500 and 5000 software.
Understand the strategy for the Process Control Network operating production locations and be accountable for the implementation of the strategy at the local level.
Lead and foster the safety culture with team members, and drive maintenance and reliability of the process control network.
Develop a strategy for PLC automation support for the location which includes training of operators.
Assist in the development, installation, inspection, and maintenance of new or enhanced mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
Conduct preventative maintenance on field or facility equipment/machinery or vehicles.
Estimate labor and equipment costs, maintain appropriate maintenance, inventory and repair logs.
Lead others in maintenance or oversee certain program, processes or projects as needed.
Responsible for supporting mechanical projects throughout the plant.
Perform a variety of on site IT activities such as PC setup, maintaining of site security cameras, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
You have a High School Diploma/GED.
What Skills You Need:
You have 3 years of education and/or experience working with Industrial Technology/PLC automation.
You have previous HMI graphical interface programming experience using Allen-Bradley FTVSE\FTVME and PanelBuilder32 software.
You have previous experience programming PLC ladder logic.
You have previous electrical experience with voltages ranging from 24v to 480v 3 phase.
You are willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.
You value health and safety! You will always work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safely every day.
You work well with others of all organizational levels because you have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
You are well versed in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc).

You are willing and able to work a primarily daytime schedule with overtime hours including weekend work when needed.
What Makes You Stand Out:

Knowledge of electrical panels and electrical troubleshooting.

Job Description
The Project Coordinator will support the management of structured cabling installations for a large-scale data center construction project. This position entails assisting in scope management, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks, promptly reporting any site or scope-related issues, and overseeing the general administration of on-site activities. The Project Coordinator will collaborate with the off-site Project Manager and the on-site low voltage team to fulfill project objectives and achieve key milestones.
Duties and responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the Project Manager to ensure all project tasks are completed and reported on.
Work with the Project Manager and on-site crew to manage the project schedule.
Work with the Purchasing Department to order and track required material or equipment for projects. Manage on-site inventory.
Maintain accurate and detailed information regarding job progress and daily tracking reports. Communicate regularly throughout the project with the Project Manager and crew lead regarding progress, issues and concerns.
Capture and manage required on-site deliverables.

Qualifications
2-4 years' experience in structured cabling industry preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Business/Project Management or equivalent experience
Knowledge of data centers and large construction projects
Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
Proficient time management skills; sense of urgency
Skilled with Microsoft Office
Working conditions
