Experience:

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Intermediate candidates will possess all basic skill sets above, plus have IT industry certifications such as Comp TIA A+, Server, Networking, Security, MTA, MCSE, etc.
Advanced candidates possess all Intermediate skill plus have a working knowledge of Xray, (including 3d/cone beam/CAT), digital diagnostic equipment, PLCs, digital laboratory equipment and possess general proficiency and desire to work with computers and office - based software systems. Experience with commercial audio and video systems as well as working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

The Systems Specialist is the central point-of-contact who is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the data entered into and maintained within the Kantata system through collaboration with the Project Leads, Financial Operations, and the Business Operations teams.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure the integrity of assigned project-related data in the Kantata system through consistent and accurate Kantata project-set up (as communicated by Project Delivery team).
Liaise with Kantata Project Leads to maintain updates to assigned Kantata projects and related updates from change order executed with client.
Liaise with Finance Operations on Sales Order set-up and changes
Track, manage, and update estimated hours in the context of hours used and total hours projected
Track, manage, and update pass-through expenses based on actuals and planned expenses; mark pass-through expenses as “Completed” once Kantata Project Lead confirms invoiced
Communicate tasks and related details to Kantata Project Lead of potential client overservice situations as reflected in Kantata
Schedule and attend monthly EAC meetings, and ensure the details discussed are pulled through to Kantata in alignment with soft and hard close deadlines and related activities
Upon completion of projects, conduct a project audit to ensure all tasks, billing milestones, and pass-through costs line items are accurate and overall project is accurate; mark project as “Complete” and liaise with Finance Operations to complete archiving process
Contribute to internal process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
2 years in project administration or coordination; business or financial operational support; ERP/PSA system administration (experience with Kantata or similar system(s), such as FinancialForce, Workday PSA, etc)
Preferred experience:
Hands-on experience with managing project budgets, hours, and expenses, as well as coordinating among multiple stakeholders
Implementing best practices for data accuracy and reporting

Research Support Specialist I (Vacuum Systems Specialist) Cornell Laboratory for Accelerator-based Sciences & Education The Opportunity Vacuum Systems Specialists contribute to the research mission of the Cornell Laboratory for Accelerator-based Sciences & Education (CLASSE) by monitoring, maintaining, modifying, and repairing complex vacuum systems on all accelerators and X-ray beam lines at the Wilson Laboratory facility.
As a Vacuum Systems Specialist, you will provide general operational service for high and ultra-high vacuum systems, consulting with researchers and operations staff and training users. You will fabricate precision components and assemble new vacuum components and subsystems; install new experimental assemblies; and install vacuum system controllers and diagnostic monitoring equipment. You also will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide variety of vacuum equipment and hardware, such as vacuum pumps (mechanical pumps, turbo-molecular pumps, ion pumps, etc.), vacuum valves, and vacuum gauges.
In your daily work, you will acquire and analyze data related to the performance of accelerator vacuum systems and develop documentation and standard procedures. Your expertise will enable you to provide direct support and oversight to visiting researchers with respect to their vacuum system needs.
About CLASSE
The Cornell Laboratory for Accelerator-Based Sciences and Education (CLASSE) carries out research in accelerator physics and engineering as well as supporting the operation of the Cornell Electron Storage Ring (CESR) for photon science through the Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS). The CHESS organization provides X-ray experimental facilities and brings in users from around the world.

* Ability to respond quickly to off-hour issues and emergencies by remote communication or returning to campus.
Additionally, the qualifications or experience with any of the following topics would be very helpful:
* 2 years' experience working in the field of high vacuum.
* Advanced experience with instrumentation and electronics, including troubleshooting of electronic circuits and programming of PLC-type devices.
* Computer skills in a PC and Linux environment.
* Experience in crane operation, rigging, and transportation of delicate experimental equipment.
* Experience with mechanical design utilizing Inventor or AutoCad design packages.
* Experience working in a clean-room environment.
* Experience writing technical documentation and/or standard operating procedures.

This System Specialist will be responsible for the testing, enhancement, and operational performance of the Club's Travel booking systems. They will operate as point person for all system operational performance issues.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Testing
* Support all testing for travel system initiatives.
* Writes and executes comprehensive functional test plans.
* Performs UAT and Checkout testing prior to travel system production releases.
Monitoring and Enhancements
* In partnership with leadership team, makes recommendations to further improve efficiency of the travel system.
* Responsible for monitoring system availability and performance, troubleshooting incidents and problems related to system performance and user issues.
* May make configuration changes to systems related to user role changes, business requirements or workflow changes, and system performance needs.
* Submits IT Incident Requests and Service Requests to Software Company as needed.
* Participates in software development meetings to propose system changes and ensure workflow alignment for both consumer and travel agent bookings.
Support
* Acts as a subject matter expert to assist Travel Support Specialists as needed for system issues and triage those items to determine scope of the issue, and the volume of users impacted.
* Responsible for overall logging and follow up of all club support tickets with third party software teams.
* In partnership with leadership team, recommends training needs and curriculum plan to support new system enhancements.
* Communicates with outside vendors and AAA National on travel system and travel business related items as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Associate's Degree, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and experience
* 3+ years of experience working in the travel industry, including work with a central reservation and ticketing system.
* Certified Travel Associate (CTA) designation required within 2 years of starting position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
* Ability to interact with individuals at multi-levels and utilize analytical and problem solving skills.
* Working knowledge of travel industry payment processes and regulations such as ARC, IATAN, DOT, etc.
