The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. In addition, the Loader Operator will be required to maintain documentation of vehicle movement around the facility. Furthermore, the Loader Operator will be responsible for the daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of their assigned machine. In addition, the operator will maintain a safe work environment and be required to follow and be held accountable to company guidelines for safe loader operation. Finally, through a thorough understanding of Copart policy, the Loader Operator will facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs. * Ensures equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts. * Operates company equipment safely. * Assists with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles. * Records vehicle information accurately and legibly. * Operates digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices. * Sets up yard for auctions within company timelines. * Provides service to customers as needed. * Maintains a positive and professional demeanor. * Follows yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e. speed limits, etc.). * Must be able to load and unload vehicles as required. * Must be able to pass training and safety requirements. * Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Experience: * HS diploma or GED preferred. * At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment. * One year of loader or forklift experience, certification preferred. * Excellent customer service attitude and skills. * Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. * Positive attitude/High Integrity. * Ability to operate heavy equipment. * Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. * Strong attention to detail. * Occasional O.T. as needed. * Bilingual skills a plus. The Opportunity The TC Energy Dig Team is an internal construction crew completing pipeline integrity activities such as recoats, reinforcement sleeves, cutouts, wraps, etc. in TC's operational footprint. The Team is looking to expand with additional HEOs to meet the growing program. The position is a proposed scheduled of three weeks on ROW and one week off ROW at reporting location rotation, subject to change. Typical construction season is March thru November with training and shop work taking place in winter months. This position requires frequent travel (75%) in support of pipeline integrity activities. This position is overtime eligible and will require extended work hours. Minimum working schedule will be 10-hour days, Monday thru Thursday. What you'll do Operate equipment (track hoes, dozers, skid steers, telehandlers) near in and out of service pipelines Order oversized haul permits Transport equipment and material Assist with stocking and ordering various project consumables Responsible to oversee equipment certification logs and ensure compliance Assist with project documentation Assist other crew members with repair activities Assist crew on constructability reviews, safety aspects, and compliance for projects Assist on information gathering for quotations and other data as needed Other tasks as required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED 5 or more years of experience operating equipment Able to obtain or currently hold a valid CDL license Ability to obtain Operator Qualifications as required for specific tasks assigned Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively such as drills, grinders, torches, etc. Ability to perform physically demanding duties as required Preferred Qualifications Completion of a 2-3 year vocational / technical training program Pipeline construction industry experience Computer proficiency (Windows, Word, email) High degree of respect for safe work habits Ability to develop an understanding of Company practices and procedures and apply them on site Demonstrated concern for people, utilizing effective interpersonal skills Strong planning and organization skills Willingness to learn and develop new skills Ability to work effectively in a construction environment.
