At PDM, we don't just make insulated copper tubing-we craft innovation. For nearly 50 years, our roots in European engineering and North American manufacturing have driven us to be
First in Tubes
again and again. From introducing groundbreaking white insulation to becoming the first fully integrated Made-in-USA lineset company, we constantly push the industry forward.
Now, we're inviting ambitious engineering students to join us for a hands-on internship where you'll help design, refine, and elevate the processes behind our state-of-the-art production lines. If you're energized by solving real problems, improving systems, and getting close to the machinery that keeps America cool (literally!), then this is where you belong.
???? What This Internship Offers
In this role, you won't be getting coffee-you'll be helping engineer the systems that power a global operation.
You'll work alongside seasoned engineers to develop detailed operating, maintenance, and process procedures for custom-built machinery. You'll observe, analyze, and optimize real production lines, enhance safety and efficiency, and help drive improvements that impact our entire operation. From troubleshooting equipment to conducting risk assessments, from testing process variables to preparing reports for leadership-your work will matter.

Location: 640 Cel River Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29730
???? What You'll Do
You'll gain deep exposure to process engineering while supporting daily operations, quality systems, and continuous improvement projects. You'll investigate performance variation, support corrective action efforts, monitor production flow, research cost-saving strategies, review proposals, and perform safety and environmental checks.
You'll analyze data, collaborate with maintenance and operators, and help optimize both machine performance and product quality. If you're ready to apply what you've learned in school to real industrial systems, this is your chance.
???? What You Bring
You're entering your junior or senior year in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. You're detail-oriented, curious, analytical, and energized by hands-on work. You're comfortable in Microsoft Office and ideally familiar with tools like AutoCAD. You communicate clearly, collaborate well, and care deeply about quality and safety.
???? What to Expect Physically
You'll spend time in both office and production environments. You should be comfortable being on your feet, using a computer, lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, and navigating a fast-paced industrial setting.
???? Why Choose PDM?
You'll be part of something bigger than a manufacturing company. You'll join a team that respects creativity, precision, safety, and respect for people. You'll learn from experts who have pioneered innovation in our industry. And you'll come away with real-world engineering experience that impacts products used nationwide.
At PDM, your internship won't just shape your future-you'll help shape ours.
I hereby consent to allow PDM US, LLC to take a specimen of my hair, urine, or blood and submit it to a laboratory testing service for a pre-employment, random or reasonable suspicion drug test. I further consent to allow the laboratory testing service to make the results of the drug test available to PDM US, LLC.
