Production Assembler Job in Grand Prairie, TX
This position has openings on 1st and 2nd shift.
Offering $2,000 sign on bonus!
1st shift is from 7 AM - 3:30 PM
2nd shift is from 2 PM - 10:30 PM - 2nd shift has a $1.25/hr shift differential
Job Duties:
Assemble equipment, components, and modules to produce products that meet quality standards. top level machine systems,
Ensure parts are in accordance to stock records and blueprints.
Set-up equipment following internal specifications and protocols. Also, make adjustments as needed and measure to precise tolerances.
Operate lathes and other machines to create and/or fix components as needed.
Using strong quality inspection skills to ensure all pieces and materials are finished according to blueprint specifications
Ensure the tolerance and alignment of moving components are accurate and clear of issues.
Use hand tools and measuring equipment to perform the assembly, set-up and operation of machines to ensure they are functioning, and in accordance to internal standards
Drill holes according to blueprints for parts of assembly
Maintain general safety, sanitation, and housekeeping standards
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent
4+ years of relevant experience and/or training
2+ years of experience with: mechanical, electrical, motion control and related components assemblies and systems preferred
Able to use cranes, forklifts, hand tools and basic machine shop equipment.
Must be able to work overtime as required
Able to utilize measuring equipment such as: depth gauges, heigh gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram form. Able to gather/analyze data and prepare discoveries.
Must be able to obtain the appropriate visa/work paperwork to enable travel to customer sites to perform work as necessary and wherever assigned worldwide
Able to read and interpret blueprints, documents and instructions
Maitain a record of good safety practices
