We are currently searching for a Production/Copy Editor to support the ISS Media group (CIO, PLANSPONSOR and PLANADVISER products). This editorial position is ideal for a person with strong copy-editing skills and a passion for writing/journalism in the finance industry. This is a junior position that offers a great opportunity to build experience in copy editing, writing, WordPress, newsletters, and, over time, social media. The ideal candidate would possess some knowledge of the finance industry, more specifically retirement plans, or be highly motivated to learn about the topic.
Key Responsibilities
Proofread, copy edit, and fact check articles, newsletters, and marketing materials for media products
Work with content, images and data to increase visual appeal of online articles
Work with other copy-editor to maintain style guides for assigned product lines and teams
Manage posting and home page presentation of stories in Wordpress
Assist in the ongoing maintenance of social media outlets (LinkedIn, Twitter)
Required Experience
Bachelor's in English or Journalism required; 1-5 years experience working for a publication as a copy-editor across multi-media platforms preferred
Strong copy-editing and proofreading skills required
Experience copy-editing or writing in AP style, required
Ability to convey complex subject matter clearly and engagingly Social media and/or audio/video production skills a plus
Knowledge of the Finance industry preferred; a desire to be involved in immersing oneself in an industry
